We're still having post-mortems on the Alumni Fund drive and we welcome ideas and comments on our efforts and suggestions for improved participation, particularly. If any of you can handle the chores of assistant class agents or Regional Chairmen please get in touch with our Class Agent Bill Russell, Apt. 4 B, 28 York Drive, Highland Park, N. J. 08902. Your interest will not be premature. Bill has been working on ways to improve our performance since the conclusion of the past fund drive.

Mail: Rich Danziger at the University of Alberta in Edmonton writes that things are fine and that he'd like to get in touch with Sturges and Paxil Dorrance. Try Armed Forces Radio, Saigon, Rich. I'll send you a more complete address later.

Steve Rosen sends his Aloha in Hawaiian from his post as Communications Officer aboard a radar picket ship homeported in Pearl Harbor. Steve writes that he and his fellow crewmen serve as a seaward extension of the DEW line up in the Aleutians. He added that Chuck Applegate was also stationed aboard a picket ship but after his son was born, Gater managed to get back home. Steve thinks that in April his ship will go into mothballs in San Francisco and then he'll get some shore duty, he hopes in Washington, D. C. He's seen Mike Cardozo - whose dad taught International Law here at Penn this past semester — pass through on his way to assignment aboard a ship in Southeast Asia; Frank Finthsweit, and TimDrescher — both also en route to duty elsewhere. Mike and Nan Nyquist are also in Hawaii. Mike's with First Insurance of Hawaii in an executive position and really seems to enjoy his work. If you have a chance, Mike, let me know how the surf is and if you've gotten a chance to try a board.

Dave Pentico, at Carnegie Institute m Pittsburgh, sent a letter full of information and commendation for these efforts. I appreciate it, Dave. I had already received word of John Bell's marriage to Carol Long of Pittsburgh on October 3, but Dave filled me in on some of the details. Carl Wright and Dave served as ushers. John is still at Carnegie Tech and will graduate in June of this year. Dave also told me that Steve Yafa won first prize in a screen writing contest, but didn't have further details. If you're listening, Steve, send along some information on the award and your present plans. And - Dave himself was engaged to Barbara Bacon of Mt. Lebanon - a suburb of Pittsburgh. They're planning a June marriage.

Paul Meyers, who has been trying to get to Stowe for several weeks, let me know of Adam Heyman's impending graduation from Columbia Business School with his M.B.A. After a vacation, Adam will probably work in New York City.

On the wedding circuit: Steve Mueller, who finished up at Tuck and went on to Dearborn, Mich., and Ford, was married on December 19 to Valerie Jane Donnelly of Arlington, Mass. Jane graduated from Mary Hitchcock and was a nurse in Arlington. She plans to study at Wayne Sjtate.

Bill Marshall, in Morocco with the Peace Corps, was married in Casablanca to another Peace Corps worker — the former Donna Lee Corsini. She graduated from UNH in 1963 and will finish up her second year in Morocco with Bill in June. DickFriedman was married last August to the former Sharon Telangitz. I just heard about the wedding, Dick, so excuse the belated congratulations, please. They're living in Cambridge while both are attending school. Sharon is studying at Boston U. School of Fine and Applied Arts.

A few engagements — Steve Lister, finishing up this year at Columbia B. School, is engaged to Joan R. Gibson. Jim Cohen plans a May wedding to Joanne Lee Drexler of New York. She's a senior at Jackson College of Tufts University. Jim is attending NYU Law School.

And — Bill Russell, through Bill Subin, sent me a wedding picture from his June wedding in Englewood, N. J. There's no guarantee that we can fit it into the MAGAZINE, but we'll try. It's quite a rogue's gallery with Dave Schaefer, Stu Brown '64, George Bonstelle, Pat Terenzini '64, GilKnight, Bill Subin, David Russell '33, Bill Foss '62, William Russell '35 (Bill's father), Burt Englert '42, and Art Symington '64.

And, finally, some service news — Ensign Dick Crane is serving aboard an anti-sub-marine support aircraft carrier out of Newprot, R. I. Lt. John Bailey has completed an Air Force survival course at Stead AFB in Nevada. He's being assigned to Dover AFB in Delaware, where wife Darlene will accompany him.

That's it for this month. Keep the letters coming, and much thanks for the kind comments on this column - they're much appreciated.
