The first dinner meeting of the 1964-5 season of the Dartmouth Club of Sarasota was held at the Sarasota Yacht Club on December 10, and was attended by 42 Dartmouth men and their ladies. Gil Swett '17 gave an interesting report on last summer s Alumni College, which had been attended by five Sarasota Dartmouths - Gil, BobHardy '25 of the Alumni Council and his Hilda, Jim Bonnyman '38 and his Ginny. Bob gave a thoughtful report on the various aspects of the Admissions and Enrollment Program, as they affected prospective freshmen from this area.
A luncheon meeting was held on January 27 at the Anna Maria Island Yacht Club (20 miles North of Sarasota and a hotbed of Dartmouths!). The speaker was Mr. Robert McGregor of Sarasota who recently completed four years as U. S. Consul General at Leopoldville in the troubled Congo.
Also scheduled is the major event of the season, a dinner to be held on March 9, at a place to be announced. Bob Blackman will be down from Hanover for the occasion with movies and his usual fascinating inside dope."
