Clarence Goss proudly produced the picture which was taken shortly after his twin grandsons (aged six) were presented with football helmets and sweaters from Hanover. They are potential ends for Bob Blackman's team and are enrolled in the Class of 1980. Clary says he saw Kip Couch recently and had lunch with him. Kip reported he had seen Lucius Ruder recently in town. The Gosses will be at Pompano Beach in March.

At a recent Bradford Junior College trustees' meeting, Pete Jones told of his and Peg's contemplated trip to Hope Town on Abaco, one of the northern islands of the Bahamas. Pete is now chairman of the board of Commonwealth Shoe & Leather Company. He and Peg succumbed to the prevailing flu epidemic in January and this sojourn on Abaco should be very welcome.

The following letter just arrived from Go Bliss: "Had a letter from both Clare andBill Boyd about the exciting coincidence of you and Barbara stumbling into them at the house of a mutual Downer's Grove, Ill., friend. Clarie said how attractive you both are so I assume that marriage has changed you a great deal. Kidding aside they both enjoyed being with you and I hope that Liberty and I have the same experience some time.

"Art and Adah Everit dropped in on us about a week ago and took off for Delray Beach after lunch at the Yacht Club. They will return this coming weekend and we will take them off in 'Liberty 3' for a couple of weeks. They both say they've never traveled in anything bigger than a canoe so it may or may not work out. People are sometimes not boat minded, but most guys that love the outdoors, love life aboard. I'm planning on going across Florida via Okeechobee and the Caloosahatchie River, to Ft. Myers and Pine Island Sound to Captiva which I hope has not been greatly changed since the new bridge to Sanibel opened.

"Art either needs new batteries for his brace of hearing aids or the things ain't no good. He had to cup his hands around his shell-like ears, even when I asked if he wanted another drink and That's Very unusual. He can usually read your lips when you're asking about likker.

"The Everits said that Phil Smith has sold his estate at Hughesville and is planning a new one in the general area. He musta' got a purdy pinny for that 400 acres of prime land. I was hoping to see them when we go north this spring. I can just barely get 'Liberty 3' as far as Benedict on the Patuxent and that's only five miles from the 'Manour.' I'm pretty good at finding strange places so I'll locate him in his new hut if he'll give me an intelligent bearings."

Major Bird always picks out a railroad Christmas card and last Christmas' card was a masterpiece.
