This class gets its share of honors. Most unique this summer went to Eddie O'Brien, the writer, who appeared at the 1966 Alumni College with wife and seven children and won the attendance record. He and another large producer got to share an entire dormitory floor.

Bob Field and his regional agents crashed through nicely with $26,892, a record for us in the record-breaking Alumni Fund. Early reports were slow coming in, but Bob kept the pressure on and we made a last minute charge.

Two letters this month from classmates who haven't reported in almost 25 years. Ed Ingraham has had a fascinating 19 years in the Foreign Service as a career officer. Tours have taken him to Bolivia, Hong Kong, Perth, Australia, Madras, India, Ithaca, N. Y. (for Far Eastern graduate studies), Djakarta, Washington as State's Australian desk officer and later Indonesian desk officer. After completing the National War College, June, 1916, and a three weeks' African survey, Ed went to Rangoon as chief of the political and economic sections for the Embassy. For his efforts Ed has made Who's Who, picked up a few odd diseases here and there, produced one son in college, one son in a Himalayan prep school, one daughter - all, in his words, with one wife, Susan. Wonderful hearing from you, Ed, and much luck on the new assignment.

Also heard from Ducky Drake, who really pulled up stakes, moved from Miami to Honolulu for a new life. Ducky particularly asked for Kent Hutchinson. His new role is a sales or manufacturer's rep and he is available for ideas at 4769 Aukai Ave., Honolulu 96815.

This must be the month of change. HudKing does it after thirteen years with one company by moving to Atlanta as eastern sales manager for Wells Manufacturing Company, producers of ignition parts and fuel pumps. Supervising twenty men will take him into 22 states. Hud Jr. is a junior at Colorado State, son Jeff attends North Sandy Springs High, which Kelly Coffin's boys probably attend. We're well represented in Atlanta by King, Crance, and Coffin.

Walt Delany had an interesting tour as Captain USN commanding the "Arcturus," a refrigeration ship replenishing the 6th fleet. Extensively cruised in Mediterranean and Northern European waters. This fall Anne and Walt report to Annapolis for Walt's tour as head of the department of foreign languages at the Naval Academy.

Think you'll ever make your 65th reunion? This summer I met George F. French '01 who just did and looks as though he'll be around for many more. This wonderful man once taught me French at Andover and, devoted to the College, encouraged me to attend. Wish my fellow class secretaries could hear his compliments about their efforts.

Bob Varney, pioneer air-sea rescue pilot at Pensacola back twenty years, is a project manager in Honeywell's market planning department, data processing division, Wellesley Hills, Mass. His specialty is the Honeywell 200 computer systems. I'd like to see Bob again.

Tried tracking down Kirkie Lallande in San Juan this summer. His secretary told the operator he was on a month's honeymoon in Barbados. Need more facts here. . . . Dick Bradley has been promoted from associate professor to professor of physics at Colorado College. Before going to Colorado in 1961, Dick had been in physics at Cornell, holds a Ph.D. from the University of California.

Hard to keep up with. . . George Munroe, elected to the board of directors, Phelps Dodge Corp. . . . Connie Young, vice president and now assistant to the president, United of Omaha. ... Bob Costello, called by the New Haven Register one of TV's outstanding producers. .. . Fred Stockwell, already on more boards than you can count, adding another with Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries in Boston. That's what happens when you marry a girl from Neenah, Wis. . . . Buzz Cutting of Amherst to the board of the newly-formed Mass. Association of Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers. . . . Herb Gordon, civic affairs tiger in North Adams, Mass., helping the North Adams Hospital raise a million. Frances and he live in Williamstown. . . . LewJohnson makes the board with Pittsfield's Union Savings and Loan Association, also numerous other civic activities and a trustee of St. Margaret's School, Waterbury. Harriet and he have three children. . . . DonKingsley, elected vice president, American Association of Industrial Editors. He is public relations manager and editor, "Management Magazine," for Corn Products of NYC. See what happens to former sports editors of the Daily Dartmouth? ... ArtBrown promoted to assistant professor of religion at Bates College, where he joined the faculty in 1964.

Nice to report that Red Krumm is the new president of W. H. Morton Company, wholly owned subsidiary of American Express Company, specializing in underwriting municipal bonds. Hope that Red will make the fall reunion, November 4 and 5. Innovation this year is a buffet supper Friday night at the Norwich Inn to get everybody together. Paul Young has reservations available. Send your deposit to him c/o College Treasurer's Office. He'll tell you where you'll be staying. I'd like to see Krumm joined by Jim Oppenheimer, Paul Randall,Don Miller, Henry Coulter, and about a hundred others of you who really want to get back and haven't in many years. It's worth the effort.

Secretary, 414 Rosedale Dr. Pottstown, Pa. 19464

Treasurer, 60 Little's Point, Swampscott, Mass.
