That lovely blonde from Indiana really outdid herself on July 29. Susan presented me with a precious baby daughter weighing in at 4 lbs. 14 ounces, and a future Dartmouth halfback tipping the scales at 4 lbs. 13 ounces. Mother, Jennifer Anne, and Jeffrey Arthur are all hale and hearty. This beaming father notes with pride the inheritance of that familiar hairline.
The local emmet mailman was busy this summer and so on to the news. Oliver Larmi was married in May to the former Christine W. Class of West Mt. Airy, Pa. Chris is attending the University of Penn. while Oli is closing in on his master's, also at Penn.

The new Mrs. Godsman is a senior at the College of William and Mary while Jim is another fine product from General Foods Corp. (pretty bad?). Jim recently picked up his master's in business administration from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Penn.
Stephen Kennedy was another '62 to head down the aisle this summer. In June Steve exchanged vows with Miss Charlotte C. Tyte, a graduate of Barnard College. This ceremony was a bit unusual in that the fathers involved are both ministers and jointly performed the ceremony.

Every spring down in Boston they hold an historic 26-mile-foot race. Tom Laris continues to both amaze and embarrass us as he finished a strong seventh with a time of 2:21:44. Red Knowlton, that Vermont emmet, tells me that fellow Vermonter BobAikens was discharged from the U.S. Army Signal Corps unit in San Francisco, and has become an active part of the Great Society. Bob has been appointed a field coordinator for the State Office of Economic Opportunity in Burlington, Vt., and will be working with the five community action agencies and existing state social service agencies in Vermont.

Y., who graduated from Goddard in June. Bill presently is serving as Director of Admissions at Goddard.
Out of Hanover and Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital comes word that four members of the class have started internship at the hospital. So if you're up this fall, have your ills checked with Samuel R.Baker, David E. Bishop, Donald N. Ginter, and Joseph F. Sackett.
The graduates of Santa Barbara High School in California had a real treat last June. The featured commencement speaker was Capt. Charles F. Preuss who returned from Viet Nam to address the graduating class at the school he left eight years ago. Clemont B. (Clem) Edgar sent on a newsey letter from Saigon. Clem provided a history of his activities following graduation. He picked up his master's at Thayer, and started working for Scott Paper Company in Philadelphia. While there he met and married Tina Hicks. Tina and young (18 months) Clem III are now stateside while Lt. Clem is stationed with the 507 th Engineer Detachment near Ton Son Nhot Airbase northeast of Saigon. Clem writes that he is anxious to share a few cold ones with any '62's in the area.

Until this occurs, Dan is the engineer officer on the "USS Surfbird" stationed in Sasebo, Japan. Dan plans to stay on in Japan following his discharge and study at Kanazawa University for at least two years. Dan sends on word that JackSchaffer is at Sasebo also, acting as a Marine captain charged with base security.
