Samuel French Morse '36 has written the verse for a delightfully whimsical children's book, All in a Suitcase (Boston: Little, Brown, 1966, $3.75). Preparing to pack a suitcase for a trip to Boston is an unusual experience when you're taking along an aardvark, a bosun bird, a cod, a dolphin, etc. Poet Morse's imagination and skill are enhanced by the illustrations and serve to carry this new alphabet book far above the usual fare in this genre.
Two tales of "Cocker waggery," which first appeared in the American Kennel Gazette some years ago, have been put together by the author and illustrator, Loring Holmes Dodd 'OO, and published under the title Wag Tales (Cambridge, Mass.: Dresser Chapman & Grimes, 1966, $3.00). This is an affectionate account of a little dog's days, especially suited for the youngest dog lovers in the family.
Carl C. Forsaith 'l3 is the author of the illustrated volume. Pinkertown Academy1814-1964, a history of that institution (Derry, N. H.: Pinkertown Academy, 1964).
