Dartmouth Arts Council.

Twelve persons, half of them alumni, have accepted invitations to serve on a steering committee to develop the structure and functions of the Dartmouth Arts Council authorized by the Trustees to sponsor and strengthen projects and programs of Hopkins Center.

The Trustees, have appointed one of their members, Frank L. Harrington '24 of Worcester, Mass., as chairman, and have named H. Allan Dingwall Jr. '42, a member of the Office of Development, as executive secretary.

Other members of the steering committee are D. Herbert Beskind '36, New York; Thomas W. Braden '40, Oceanside, Calif.; Ralph W. Burgard '49, New York; Ward M. Canaday, Toledo; John French '3O, New York; Arthur Hornblow Jr. '15, New York; William B. Jaffe, New York; Goddard Lieberson, New York; Beekman H. Pool, Dublin, N. H.; Mrs. Bleike S. Reed, Hanover; Shepard A. Stone '29, New York; and Mrs. Vanderbilt Webb, New York.
