Although, regretfully, ye Ed could not attend the meeting in Hanover (and the Princeton game), about the necessary details of our forthcoming reunion it is pleasing to know that Ed Senghas has picked a good team to help run things.
Dick Hollerith has agreed to be treasurer. Mike Pender and Bob Frank are still arguing as to who will be chairman and cochairman of the Program Committee. AlBildner and his regional chairman will take care of attendance. Bob Kirsch, bless him, will again take care of uniforms or whatever else should be used and Doug Burch, our good newsletter editor, will handle the publicity.
One of our few cum laude classmates, Fred Ruoff, has been elected a vice president of the Guaranty Bank and Trust Company of Leominster, Mass. By this time he will have moved to the Worcester area from Woodbury, Conn. Fred was a vice president of the National Division of the Anthony Kane Associates, consultants in New York City. Fred received his Master's degree from Rutgers in 1949, and became an education specialist with the Marine Corps Institute in Washington, D. C. He has always been active in community affairs, having served as vice chairman for American Red Cross, been on the Republican Town Committee, and a vestryman of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Woodbury as well as area chairman, Laymen's Division, Diocese of Connecticut. In his new job Fred will take over the responsibilities of Personnel Administration and Training.
Dan Carroll has been appointed managing officer of the east central region for Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Inc., international management consultants. He will be headquartered in Cleveland serving the state of Ohio and Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania. He will also manage offices in Detroit serving clients in the Michigan area. Dan joined the firm in 1954 and has been a vice president in the Cleveland office of the company.
Ed Miller, formerly assistant city attorney in San Diego, Calif., has been appointed to the post of U.S. attorney in the new San Diego Imperial County Federal Judicial District. Having started his new job on September 19, he will head a staff of five attorneys in the new U.S. court district covering San Diego and Imperial counties.
This is a brief note that Len Sommer was elected to the Sales Executive Club of New York recently. Lenny is a regional sales manager for the Westinghouse Electric Corporation and currently lives in Connecticut.
So much for the news this month. Remember volunteers are always welcome for work on next June's reunion.
