THE FIRST five-year term of Trustee John C. Woodhouse '21 of Wilmington, Del., expires June 30, 1967. The nominee to fill this vacancy will be chosen by the Dartmouth Alumni Council at its annual winter meeting in Hanover on January 12-14.

Mr. Woodhouse, having served only one term of five years, is eligible to succeed himself as Alumni Trustee of the College. Other candidates m y be proposed to the Alumni Council's nominating committee, and alumni wishing to do so should write to J. Michael McGean, Secretary of the College, who is also secretary of the Council. George N. Farrand '33 of New York is chairman of the nominating committee.

Mr. Woodhouse has served on the Board of Trustees since 1960, having filled out an unexpired term for two years before beginning his own first term. He has been one of the foremost research scientists for the DuPont Company and holds more than sixty patents in chemical engineering and applied biological subjects. He was one of the key researchers in the invention of hydraulic fluids, auto- mobile anti-freeze, Nylon and its derivatives, and Lucite.
