In January Dartmouth College honored our classmate Ned French by dedicating a new dormitory bearing his name. French Hall is located on the site of the former Wigwam Circle, west of Thayer School on the bluff above the Connecticut River.

Ned spent his entire business career in railroad operations. After serving as the chief operating officer of various railroads in Vermont he was appointed president of the Boston and Maine Railroad, a position which he held from 1930 to 1955. He was a director of several other corporations and a trusteee of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis. For several years he was a trustee of Mary Hitchcock Hospital and was a trustee of Dartmouth College from 1934 to 1954.

Max Hartmann writes from Melbourne, Australia that he has finished one half of his 28,000-mile tour and expects to be back in the Hotel Saratoga, Palma early in February. Enjoyed his visits in South Africa and has been enjoying the beautiful flowers and strange animals in Australia. On his way home he expects to visit New Zealand, Tahiti, Mexico, Pomona, and Portugal.

Walter Powers has written what he calls a dissertation on "A Kayak Trip Down the Thames." It is a most interesting article and I am sure he would be glad to send you a copy if you are interested.

I want to thank all the classmates and widows who sent me Christmas cards. The only complaint I have is that they did not give any news about themselves or their families.

In June 1906 will celebrate its last official Reunion so make your plans now to be present.

If you did not get a copy of Cap Pierce's "Ideas and Ideals to Build On" write and ask for a copy for you will enjoy reading it.

Adriance, Dakin and Luck will be celebrating their birthdays this month.
