Did you ever panic over a dead-line? This secretary did, and picked up the phone and called John Cornehlsen, who came through magnificently: John called TedBaehr who I believe has not been in print during all the years we have been out of college. He is approaching his 40th year in the theatre, having acted on Broadway, in films, and on T.V. He has played many leads and supporting roles and still hopes to be even more successful than he has already been. He reports the tragic loss of his dear wife and mother of his children in 1960. But he feels the good Lord has shone on him twice and now he is again married to Frances Behrens. They are living happily in a lovely home on the shore of Center Island. His daughter Kathie graduated from Vassar in '59. She is married and has one child and another on the way... so the class can add another grandfather to the list. He is particularly proud that his son Ted is at Dartmouth in the Class of '69. According to his father, Ted is a terrific skier and both he and his father hope he makes the Dartmouth Ski Team. . . .
Called Lyt and Maxine Johnston but no answer, probably out visiting their son Robbie who, with the help of his wife, has made them proud grandparents. Lyt is prospering as the president of Frank B. Hall, an insurance brokerage firm. When he is not playing the role of granddaddy, he likes to follow the horses. According to good sources Johnston seems to be winning - not the horses.... Called Frank and Connie Williams and found them recovering from a spontaneous New Year's Eve party which developed at their new city apartment on the Pavillion which overlooks the East River. Frank is still an active member of American Viscose (25 years). He continues his interest in quartet singing and is an active member of the University Glee Club (36th year). Some time ago he and Connie made a trip to Hawaii where they had a reunion with Bud (James Hine Stickler) and his wife Peg. Frank's daughter Carol is married and living with her husband, a veterinarian in Springfield, Vt. The Williamses are proud grandparents of her three sons. .. .
There's something about John and Virginia Cornehlsen - Johnnie continues his activities as a psychologist consultant. He recently has had the pleasure of working with several '29 offspring who wanted some assistance in working through their career plans. Not long ago he undertook an Interview Training Program for Managers in some of the General Foods divisions. The purpose of the program is to aid the managers in doing a more effective job of interviewing and selecting from the candidates they see from college campuses. In addition, John holds a professorship in psychology at C. W. Post College and is also on the faculty of the Graduate Business School of Long Island University. He is in the process of developing an Executive Differential Ability Test which is an outgrowth of the appraisal work he has done with some 2,000 executives in the last ten years. Jim Cornehlsen is Dartmouth '63 and for the past two years has been in the General Electric Marketing Training Program. Virginia continues her activities as Guidance Counselor in the Garden City High School and daughter Jean is a student at St. Mary's in Garden City.
John Stigall served as a delegate from Dartmouth to the installation of Clifford Lee Lord, who became third president of Hofstra. Dmitry Shiraeff and his wife have retired from the General Aniline & Film Corporation of Easton, Pa. Dmitry's charming wife Elenore is a graduate of Barnard College. She studied chemistry at Wagner College and joined General Dyestuff in 1942. She was transferred by General Aniline & Film to Easton in 1958 where she and her husband worked in the analytical department. ...
