On December 28 we held our annual undergraduate luncheon and had a good turnout of alumni, undergraduates and about 20 prospective '70's. Don Gates '42 was toastmaster and made a number of entertaining and all-too-true remarks regarding the "growing old" process of an alumnus relative to the college and the undergraduates. Don's points were practically demonstrated in a somewhat dramatic way when the first undergraduate he called upon to speak responded "Thank you, Sir."

For the benefit of both alumni and prospects, three undergraduates brought us up-to-date on current college life and activities. Fred Grote '66 discussed academic developments and expressed a great deal of enthusiasm for the "3 semester" system and the close contact between faculty and students. Fran Wilson '66 then summarized the social and cultural picture and made it clear that, while the Hopkins Center has greatly enhanced the cultural opportunities, the social side of life at the college still revolves around big weekends and trying to squeeze in trips to Smith, Vassar, etc., or talking a Colby girl into coming up for a Saturday night party. Jim Eldridge '6B, a sophomore and a starter on our undefeated football team, discussed both intramural and intercollegiate athletics with, obviously, empha- sis on the past football season. Jim stressed the intramural opportunities for those who are not inclined or able to participate on the intercollegiate level and joined us all in ap- plauding Coach Blackman's decision to stay at Dartmouth.

New Alumni Association Directories (for Wisconsin) have recently been distributed and any additions or corrections should be brought to the attention of the college or the Association secretary.
