After 25 years on this job I have finally come to the conclusion that what 1906 needs is a new secretary. In spite of many letters, telegrams, etc., I am not able to get any personal news from any of the 1906 members.

Because I cannot give you any news about your classmates I suggest that you read the other class notes to learn what your classmates are doing. For instance, in the January issue Grebenstein '07 reports that on Veterans' Day, our Green Messenger, Art Chapin, visited the town of Upton, Mass., where his ancestors were early settlers, and made a triumphal tour of the town.

Bob Adriance was presented the "Distinguished Service Award" by the Middle States Council for Social Studies at their meeting in June 1965. This award was given "in recognition of extraordinary service rendered in the promotion, development and advancement of Social Studies teaching, research and/or services in the Middle Atlantic States." Bob is the author of "Using the Wealth of the World," a secondary school text in economics.

Francis Childs reports progress in the arrangements for our 60th Reunion. I am sure that he will come up with an excellent program so make your plans to be in Hanover in June.

One visit, which I am sure we will all want to make in Hanover, is to the new dormitory named in honor of Ned French. This was dedicated on January 8, and Harvey Hood '18 did the honors for Ned. One remark that Ned made was that French Hall was a vast improvement over the dormitories we had.

Another of our stalwart men has left us. Howard Chidley died on January 4. The Class extends its deepest sympathy to Frances and the family.

Several of the boys will be having a birthday cake with a few candles on it during March. They are Chapin, Chellis, Cogswell, Glaze and Rainie.
