From the mile high city of Denver comes news of Cy Allen, who is vice-president of the Bohm-Allen Jewelry Company. Cy and wife Lu have two children, Cy III, a junior in high school with aspirations to matriculate at Hanover, and daughter Wendy. The Aliens stay busy with their second home on the slopes at Vail.

Jim Doole writes from Honolulu and Punahou School that he expects to spend quite a bit of time on the mainland in the next few months - "expect to spend most of June and July in the east - never seem to work it out on reunion year, but perhaps I can mooch a few beers from someone. I will be visiting colleges in April - 65 or so in the northwest, Chicago area, southwest and back to California - hope to see a few Dartmouth people along the way." - all '45s take note and be prepared!!

A recent move took George Ehinger from Elmhurst, Ill., to Wilton, Conn., where he is now food equipment sales manager for Dorr-Oliver Inc. of Stamford, Conn.

Lou Mills has thrown his hat into the political ring (or maybe it's never been out of the ring) as he announced his candidacy for the GOP nomination for U.S. Representative from the 27th Congressional District of New York. Lou, a former mayor of Middletown, N. Y., has been vice-chairman of the Orange County Republican Party.

The Woburn (Mass.) Kiwanis Club will have Dick Johnson as its 1966 president. Dick, a practicing attorney in Woburn for the past fifteen years, also serves as a director of two local banks and the Chamber of Commerce. At home, he and Carolyn stay busy with five children.

Bob Hage '35, director of financial aid at the College, has announced that the '45 Memorial Book Fund for '65-'66 has been awarded to David W. Venable '65 who is completing his senior year. Dave, an English major, is a Daniel Webster National Scholar and has had a scholastic average of 4.3 for the past two terms. He has been a member of Green Key and hopes to go into teaching. As Bob puts it "He is a very personable young man and very worthy of your help . . . (his) need is great and your fund serves a very valuable purpose."

Carter Lockwood writing from Lake Placid, N Y., tells of his recent move from Albany, after eighteen years with the Weyerhauser Co., to the Northwood School where he doubles as bursar and development coordinator. Carter, his good wife, and five children live on Lake Placid in their converted summer camp - "am having a ball going to 'work' on a snowmobile."

A Distinguished Service Medal has been awarded to Warren Quimby by the Port of New York Authority. Warren, who is supervisor of transportation planning for the Port Authority, was praised in the citation for his important planning and design work in connection with such projects as the highways connecting the third tube of the Lincoln Tunnel, the ramp system of the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and the ramps of the lower level expansion of the George Washington Bridge. Warren and Elizabeth, with their two daughters and three sons, live in Larchmont, N. Y.

Here and there. . . . John Hartshorn has been advanced to executive vice-president of General Refractories. . . . Bob Lee is now a vice-president of White Weld and Co. . . . Russ Johnson is serving as president of the Westchester chapter of the New York Society of Internal Medicine.

The weekend of April 16 is the scheduled date for the officers and executive committee of the Class to assemble in New York City for their spring meeting. '45s in the area should note the date and join the group. Exact whereabouts will be announced next month but anyone missing such notification should contact such N. Y. '45s as Paul Caravatt, Harry Hampton, and MooseRowan for full particulars.
