The fall reunions grow bigger and better. Some eighty '45s, their wives and children gathered in Hanover over the Holy Cross weekend of October 6-7. Taking over a motel in Hartford, Vt., which had been held in the name of '45 since last fall, and keeping busy at such places as an executive committee meeting, the football game, and an excellent evening at the Tom Dent Cabin, those assembled thoroughly enjoyed their all-too-brief return to the ever-changing and yet somehow never-changing Hanover scene. Present were Lorraine and Hank Blansfield, Terry and Phil Shannon, Doris and Ed Pirie, Jane and Tom Yates, Ruth and John Leggat, Allon and Shorty Pierce, Gina and Griff Strasenburgh, Lucille and Dick Gilman, Liz and Dave Hewitt, Kaye and Tom Candler, Molly and John White, Jean and Art Pounds, Jeanne and Frank Hutchins, Anne and Howie Sawyer, Ginny and Harry Hampton, Marge and Bob Paulson, Floss and Johnny Brooks, Shirley and Joe Michael, Rosalie and Don Cutter, Jane and Mo Frye, Ted White, Eliot Mover, Steve Hull, Al Ungar, Ellie and Hank Dutcher, Zoe and Paul Newman, Pat and Ted Smith, Amanda and John Washburn, Mary and Dick Simpson, Mary and Bill Woods, Betsy and Allan Herrick, Betty and Cliff Jordan, Anita and Gene Wilkin, Joan and Moose Rowan, Laura and Paul Caravatt, Rickie and Don Cole.

In the vital statistics department there are two newsworthy notes: Barbara and TedWhite have just had their second daughter, and Mo Frye, whose engagement was belatedly announced in this column last month has completed the move by changing Jane's name to Frye. Jane, much more attractive than Mo (a situation which seems to exist in all '45 families) was a welcome addition to the group as she attended her first '45 reunion at the Holy Cross get-together.

Another vice-president in the Class is PhilShannon, who serves in that capacity with Galbraith-Ruffin Inc., a real estate firm specializing in the development and promotion of office buildings. Phil, whose business headquarters are in New York City, lives in Scarsdale where he and Terry stay busy riding herd on their five daughters, ages one to eleven.

Fred Schaefer writes "am presently directing a three-year project at Carnegie Tech, called the cooperative program in history, the aim of which is to develop courses in American and European history to meet the needs of students at predominantly Negro colleges in the south . . . much fun and hopefully some lasting results."
