The Dartmouth Club of Palm Beach has a luncheon once a month and, upon the urging of Ed Bowen '20, your Secretary attended and had a most pleasant time. 1919 was also represented by King Cole and PetePitman, and Barney Thielscher was on hand for 1917 and Frank Cavanaugh's stellar back looks fine. A letter from Dan Shea '18 reminds us that the annual 1918 Pow-Wow is set for March 14 and 15 at the Sheraton in Ft. Lauderdale and '19 and other nearby classes are most cordially invited to attend. It's dinner on the 14th and lunch on the 15th and is always a lot of fun.

The class luncheons at the Dartmouth Club in New York continue to set records in attendance with fifteen men showing up for the December affair - Win Batchelder, Harry Colwell, Chet Demond, Dick Dudensing, Ed Fiske, Bri Greeley, Ken Huntington, who sparks these affairs, Ray Legg, Lou Munro, Henry Siegbert, Bill Smith, Lou Stone, Leonard Sykes, Teto Webster, and Budd Welsh. The Bevans, Munros and Jeavons journeyed to Ithaca to see the Cornell game and sure saw a thriller. Casey and Tony returned recently from a Caribbean cruise just in time to get into lots of snow in northern New York. Rock and AliceEarle Hayes leave in late January for "80 days around the world" on the "S.S. Rotterdam" on the Holland American Line, and Rock should have some fine pictures to show us on their return. Nick and Dot Sandoe made a fast trip to Europe in December, spending a few weeks in Paris, Milan, and Rome.

A nice letter from Jack Ross indicates that he and Doris are looking forward to our Fall 1967 party on the weekend of October 13-15 with headquarters at the Woodstock Inn and Penn is the opposition in football. Quoting in part from Jack's letter, "... I wasn't there last October to bid on any of the Hanover Inn building materials but Bob Paisley says he is sending me a brick. The postage should add considerable to its value. I thought I would put it on my bed-side table and throw a left handed curve at anyone who might break in."

Bob Stecher thanks the class for his birthday card and is very happy to be remembered. Al Frey '20 very kindly sent your Secretary a clipping from the Cleveland Plain Dealer with a picture and a write-up of Bob with the heading "Dr. Stecher Works at Keeping Healthy." Quoting in part. "Dr. Robert M. Stecher, chairman of the board of the Cleveland Health Museum, toasts his own good health with an 80-hour office week. A member of the Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital staff and founder of the arthritic clinic named after him, Dr. Stecher writes about bears, bulls, and horses besides articles in his field of rheumatic diseases. 'I went into medicine so I wouldn't have to' work,' he said, laughingly. He recently celebrated his 70th birthday.... Recently, he wrote an article for the New York Natural History Museum on the first horse. Fossils of the breed were found on the Gobi Desert about 100 years ago." Not having enough to do, Bob is a clinical professor on the faculty of the Western Reserve University Medical. According to the article "Twelve grandchildren, two daughters and a son, daughter-in-law and wife (Florence, whom we all enjoyed seeing with Bob last fall in Woodstock-Hanover) try to keep up with him."

Ernie Rautenberg reports to Ray Adams that the Rautenbergs are planning another trip - this time a cruise to the Mediterranean in February. Don Graves likewise reports to Ray, "Just enjoyed my 70th. Played golf on November 1 - temperature 101, hottest on record for November. Knock on wood, I have been very well. It has been a long time since you, Bob Bard, RolandFoss, and I played around Fayerweather. Hope to make the 50th." KB Johnson comes through with a note, "When my father was publishing the Franklin (Mass.) Sentinel, which Joe Martin owns and which I believe Spider publishes, he always had on hand some flat metal strips of prepared printing called 'boiler plate' if he ran short of news." Anyway, KB thanks the Class for his birthday card and claims that it is 13 years since he and your Secretary lifted an elbow together.

Many, many thanks for the very large number of Christmas cards and good wishes on my birthday from the class and our widows. It seems as though this year was the biggest ever and it is simply impossible to acknowledge them air but they are much appreciated. Florida, is great, particularly when there was 13 inches of snow in Hanover and, for most of us, outside of JackMcCrillis, our skiing days are long since over.
