The end of March Catherine and ArthurChapin left home for a trip to St. Louis, Mo., and Denver, Colo., to visit their daughters. Instead of driving their car they went by airplane so they will not be able to visit the western 'O6 boys as they have in other years.
On January 30, 1967 Lonnie Russ passed away. Only a few months ago he had moved back North and he was looking forward to seeing some of his classmates again.
Norman Pierce, Cap Pierce's son, advises that his son, Philip, Cap Pierce's grandson, is enrolled at Dartmouth.
The 1967 Alumni Fund opened its campaign on April 1. Even though our class joined the retirement group this year we are expected to produce the same result as last year.
With the help of Art Chapin, Hal Fish, and Bill Page I am sure that 1906 will continue their support of the College in the same generous spirit as they have in the past. I am also sure that the class widows will continue their loyal support to the College.
Four members of the class will be celebrating their birthdays this month. They are Philip Chase, Hamp Howe, Watson Smith, and William Twiss. If they were living seven other classmates would be blowing out the birthday candles, Ray Butterfield, Dan Carr, Joe Gushing, Fred Jones, Joe Nuelle, Lonnie Russ, and Hal Smith.
