From Montreal comes more news from Gus Hennessey, who recently moved over to the Federated Appeal of Greater Montreal. Gus writes:

"Our new assignment is proving to be most challenging and stimulating, although the new Metro and Expo '67 have taken the front stage for the moment."

"Jim Cuffe spent a couple of days with us in Montreal over the Xmas holidays and we had a chance to catch up on the events of a few years (!!).

We have also become quite involved in the Dartmouth Canadian Year, working in cooperation with David Salter '53. We have been visited by representatives from Hanover on several occasions and have given them help in many areas. The program is an ambitious one and one, from a longrange standpoint, that should do much to further and strengthen an understanding of relations between the two countries. We are told that the Dartmouth Glee Club will sing at Expo on the second day of the fair and we certainly plan to be there for this event. It would not surprise us if President Dickey puts in an appearance, particularly in view of his interest in Canadian Affairs."

From the Framingham (Mass.) News comes word that Harry Ham is a candidate for the five-year term on the Planning Board in Sherborn. Harry moved to Sherborn last summer from Newton, where he had been a life-long resident.

He is a practicing attorney, member of the board of directors of the Natick Trust Co. and the Auburndale Cooperative Bank. During World War II he served in the United States Coast Guard.

Harry served for twelve years on the Newton Board of Aldermen. During this time he was chairman of the public works committee for two years and for six years chairman of the claims and rules Committee, which dealt with zoning and legal matters. Daring this time he successfully prevented the erection of high rise apartments in Norumbega.

According to the Midwest Industry Monthly of Topeka, Kansas, W. H. Collins has been made a vice president of the Trent Tube Division of Crucible Steel Co. Collins joined Trent Tube in 1946 and has progressed through the sales ranks. The entire country will be his area of sales responsibility. During the War, he served four years in the Army's Armored branch, reaching the rank of Captain.

Parker Holden, a resident of Warwick, R. I., has been elected a vice-president of the Automobile Mutual Insurance Co. of America and the Factory Mutual Liability Insurance Company of America. Parker has been active in YMCA work for many years, having served as president of the greater Providence YMCA. Parker was a member of Military Intelligence during the War.

Jim Cotter sent along a copy of a letter he received from a friend, who reports RayTrautner of Eastman Kodak in fine fettle these days. No details, however. I don't know how much of Jim's share of the work on the new Hanover Inn has been completed, but things are moving fast on the corner of Main and Wheelock Streets. The new part looks so much bigger than the former structure, that it is quite imposing even now that they are finishing the steel work on the roof.

Gil Tanis and Dawk have been in correspondence with regard to having some sort of get-together the weekend of the Penn game here in Hanover - possibly cocktails and dinner in Hopkins Center. When more definite plans are formulated, the news will be spread through all possible media.

Now that the new Alumni Fund drive is off the ground, get your check in the mail at the earliest possible moment; it saves a lot of unnecessary correspondence and checking. You're going to contribute sometime; why not now?

Bob MacLeod '39 (r) and his son Jay,17, are shown at Malibu after helpingto rescue two persons from a wreckedsailboat. "It was an unusual night,"says Bob, publisher of 'Teen Magazine,"but there is always action at Malibu."
