The Club was again blessed with outstanding weather and hospitality for its annual picnic. The hosts, Marge and PageWorthington '33, were joined by a crowd of forty alumni, wives, and dates. The afternoon was highlighted by the annual softball game, the election of officers, and good fellowship.

Ace' Hall '55, Buck Frisch '55, Frank Chase'57, Scott Corey '57, and Charlie Grafton '55 were elected president, vice president-program, vice president-enrollment, secretary, and treasurer respectively. In recognition of his truly outstanding efforts, the Club presented outgoing president Roger Antaya '44 a jug of firewater and a promise of an engraved mug.

As usual the softball game was carefully organized and chaotically executed. The managers were selected on the basis of their large waistlines and lack of knowledge. Carol Corey's green team beat the guys in the white hats managed by Dort Hall. Although manager Corey darn near gave birth to number one son during the game, this would have hardly been noteworthy in light of the actual happenings. Art Flinner's ('35) stylish slide into homeplate and the first scoreless inning in the history of the game must be remembered as the surprises of the afternoon. Among the other players were Bob Jones '38, Ron Schrieber '55, Fred Behringer '68, Les Reid '56, and Wes Hannington '51.

The Club voted to change its name to the Dartmouth Club of Maryland to reflect the scope of its operations and the support of its numerous members outside of the Greater Baltimore area.

The hard work of a number of committee chairmen made the Glee Club Concert in March a success with a crowd of 500 and a good time had by the alumni and friends in attendance. This was just part of an active year which included an effective enrollment program in addition to a number of enjoyable social activities. The coming year promises to be even better with the growing support of many new faces.
