Resuming the roll call of birthdays, November in the gay Nineties recorded the arrivals of Austin, P. N. Brown, Campbell, Elkins, Foss, Piatt, Saltmarsh, and Webber. To each of you, greetings and a plea for a post card or letter telling how this new-milestone finds you and yours.
Here we pause to present "Hanover Re- visited," an observation in verse of our somewhat shocked Class Poet.
Hanover Revisited
Under the spreading campus tree The college show-off stands - A flimsy egomaniac With unwashed face and hands.
Behold that zig-zag, arty beard Contoured for your attention; You see - and smell - that bathing is A custom for abstention.
"He's qualified," says Parkhurst Hall "He's bright - Withhold your wrath," I'd find that easier to do, dear John, If those lads took a bath.
These blown-up egos may well be The pick of all the nation, But here's a word for all to see "Soap's one way to salvation!"

Speaking of Sherm Saltmarsh being in Winchester last August for a nurserymen's convention, I called Sherm but unhappily he was away at his mountain camp. From his son I learned that Sherm is in good health and still keenly interested in promoting schoolboy hockey.
Lay Little never fails to send along news he picks up about other classmates but he forgot to tell how or why he and Ruth popped off for England and Scotland on September 16, returning home the 30th. Has it to do with our 55th reunion?
Pursuing this thought I tip no hand in telling you that Voghie Stiles who is masterminding our June reunion will shortly release important details of plans now well
Jesse and Anne Stillman of Wilmington, Del., celebrated their Golden Anniversary October 19 at the Hanover Inn. What better place could there be for all the Golden Wedding days that must be in the offing for many of us!
From the north Martha and I also drove to the Hanover Inn for dinner with Drew and Evelyn and their daughters on the eve of Drew's recent non-stop B-52 flight to the Far East. He was off on his third tour of combat duty in Viet Nam. Now a major and an aircraft commander he had already flown 100 bombing missions on his earlier tours.
From Dean Emerson comes the first word of the passing of our classmate, Stanley C.Stratton, on August 11, 1968 in Berwyn, Pa. The close friendship between these two is evident in their respective histories in our Golden Book, notably in their years together as engineers in H. S. Ferguson and Co. in New York and their services as construction engineers many months overseas in World War I. We offer our deepest sympathy to Mary Stratton and daughter Joan.
