With correspondents like Bob Stumm (and the others whose paragraphs follow), a column writes itself. Bob's full report needs only repeating. "Am still in insurance business - secretary-treasurer of McWethy Bros., Inc. in Aurora, Ill. Quite active in politics, served two years as chairman of county board, interesting, but quite disappointing. Amazing how we manage to govern ourselves. Feeling older as our oldest son, Dave, is a junior at Notre Dame; our middle son, Hans will be in freshman class at Dartmouth (so will Andy Carstenson's); and our youngest, Rob is junior in high school. Blair McClenahan, Bob Zildjian,Ray Fontana, and Al Buchsbaum were right - I should have gone to White River more often. Enjoyed reading the '68 valedictorian speech - too bad he didn't read Stubby Pearson's or had a chance to meet Harry Ritter. Enjoy the Class Letter - it's beginning to keep me young."

Congratulations to Jane and Moe Frye who announce their first, a girl born September 18.

Bill Swartzbaugh, forsaking Amherst and New England, is now dean of students at Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, Calif. What with Nick Sandoe at the same educational complex and Dick Gilman president of nearby Occidental, the southern California educational field is taking on a '45 green tinge.

From Mankato, Minn., Bruce Synionds tells of his recent move. "After eighteen years with Ralston Purina Co. in various domestic and international marketing positions, I have accepted a position as director of marketing with the Hubbard Milling Co., Mankato, Minn. Our whole family is looking forward to moving to the land of sky blue waters and once again enjoying skiing, .fishing, and other outdoor sports. Our oldest son, Bill, will be a Dartmouth hopeful this year as he enters his last year in high school; Ann, 15, will be a junior; Rob, 9, will be entering fourth grade."

Andy Scott, while enthusing about a summer sojourn on Martha's Vineyard and a new 31-foot sloop, also adds more detailed information. "My wife, Anne, teaches American history at Duke. She has been on sabbatical leave this year while she worked on a book-length manuscript dealing with some aspects of Southern history. We have three children. Our daughter, 18, just completed a year at University of Lyon in France and is transferring to Radcliffe for the coming year; David, 14 and Donald, 12. I am a professor of political science at the University of North Carolina and teach courses in international politics and American foreign policy. I keep fairly busy writing and the most recent books are 'The Revolution in Statecraft' and 'The Functioning of the International Political System.' "
