Class activities are gathering momentum toward the first opportunity we've had to get back to Hanover as a group - our first reunion in June. Art Williams met with Dave Orr '57 in New York last month to discuss suggestions and plans. I understand the "negotiations" were very helpful and resulted in ideas which Art will pass along to his committee shortly. I know that he could use additional assistance from southern and western 63's - write to him or me and we'll sign you up.

Lil and I spent a delightful evening with Charlie Parton and Trudy at their home in East Orange, N. J. Their daughter, Laura, is a beauty and the object of a great deal of fatherly attention. Charlie's doing a great job with a major Newark Bank in their mortgage department and finding time to play a good deal of tournament tennis with Trudy.

Sully Sullivan's wife Mary passed along the news that George III (sounds like a future King of England) was born last May and is a really rugged fellow. They plan to get up to Hanover this fall for at least one game. The trip's not too far from their Fayetteville, N. Y., home (211 Mott Road).

If anyone is going to be in Hanover for the Columbia game, I'll be up there November 7-9 for Club Officers' Weekend. I could use some fresh news, so I hope we'll get together. Bill Spencer and Virginia Sue Salmon of Jefferson City, Mo., were married on August 24 in that City. Bill returned from his Air Force tour in Vietnam and during the past year obtained his Master's degree in Journalism at the U. of Missouri. I believe he and Virginia are now in Cincinnati, where he's with Procter and Gamble - but I'd like the latest address - O.K.? Rick Crabbe heard the same bells, in June, when he married Nikki Nelson at Columbia University's chapel. Nikki graduated from Beaver; her father is associated with Columbia, which explains the location of the wedding. Rick is with the legal department of Sperry Rand which he joined after Vanderbilt Law School.

Bob Burgess has been named a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, the highest attainment in this professional organization of the insurance industry. As a member of Connecticut General Life Insurance Company's actuarial program, Bob achieved this professional designation after having successfully completed the last of ten semiannual examinations given nationally by the Society. Bob joined Connecticut Life in 1963 and two years later was named actuarial assistant.

Bill Marshall, who joined the Peace Corps after graduation, has been teaching in various Massachusetts schools since. Currently he's teaching high school English, but I know not where.

I've gotten a news clipping which states that Brad Denny ran for the Republican nomination to the Vermont State House of Representatives from the Northfield area where he and Mary reside with their three children. I have no information about the result of his campaign, but I'm sure the class would be interested.

From California we hear that John Howland has been awarded his silver wings upon graduation from Air Force navigator training at Mather Air Force Base. John, a second lieutenant, has been assigned to his Air National Guard unit at Willow Grove, Pa. He will be on flying duty with the Military Airlift Command. After leaving Hanover, John earned a law degree in 1966 at the University of Pennsylvania.

Neil Duprey became a father in early August when his wife gave birth to Danielle Suzanne at Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover. Both are fine.

Two more pieces of marriage news include the wedding of Jeff Weaver and the former Kay Braun in Wyckoff, N. J. They are living in Alexandria, Va., while Jeff works with the Marriott Corporation as a Food-Service Manager. Jeff obtained a degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University after college. His wife is a graduate of the University of Denver. Bill Breetz was married to Cheryl Lynn Trudicks in Steubenville, Ohio. Bill's bride is a graduate student in Philosophy at the University of Virginia where Bill recently graduated from law school.

Please keep the letters coming in especially those silent ones who haven't written since graduation. And, where are SteveLippman and spouse, Susan? At last report, Steve was to clerk for a state court judge in New Jersey.
