1964

I got an interesting letter the other day from a long lost graduate of the Class of 1964: "Hi, Dick: Just to let you know that I, Nelson O. Carman Jr., whom you haven't heard from since graduation, is presently living with a retired trapeze artist (of the Ringling Brothers Circus), Miss Alice Carol Andrews - Saratoga High, 1960 (drop out) in Denver, Colo., in total bliss!" I think I remember her at Colby.

I got a letter the other day from Geneand Jean Veto. Gene is currently' vice president of Keller and Associates of California, Inc., which is an insurance outfit. GaryFoote was an usher at their wedding in February. Herb and Judy McCord were among the guests at the wedding. Greg andSue Campbell wrote saying they are now living in Cleveland, Ohio. Greg attended Western Reserve's Graduate School of Business and graduated last June with his Master's degree. He is now assistant treasurer of Automatic Sprinkler Corporation of America. They write that they see John and Karen Sanders occasionally who are now living in Boston while John is doing his internship at Peter Bent Brigham. In June he graduated second in his class from the University of Michigan Medical School. Greg and Sue plan a trip to Europe this summer if they can take their dog, Duffer.

A number of engagements: Barry Pressman and Miss Beth Jaffe were engaged in February. Barry graduated cum laude from the Harvard Medical School and is now serving his internship also at Peter Bent Brigham in Boston. A June 23 wedding is planned. From the hills of Mahwah, N. J., comes news of the engagement of Lt. DavidScott Hope and Winifred Eleanor Shaw. Miss Shaw now attends Boston University. Dave graduated from Harvard University's School of Law and is now on active duty in Vietnam. Dune Hughes and Stephanie Downs were engaged in February. Dune is studying for his Master's degree in city planning at the Graduate School of Design of Harvard University. Stephanie is a doctoral candidate at Boston University. A summer wedding is planned. Steve Cutler and Karen Davis were engaged recently. Steve is a candidate for the doctorate in sociology at the University of Michigan where he was a Woodrow Wilson fellow and is currently an instructor in the Honors College. Karen was a member of the Sphinx Club at Southern Illinois University! An April wedding in Ann Arbor, Mich., is planned. Ed Miller and Edith Kirk were engaged in January. Ed is now a captain in the United States Marine Corps and is on active duty at Chu Lai, Vietnam. A fall wedding is planned. Tom Zitrides and Bronwen Keidel were engaged in January. Miss Keidel was graduated from Simmons College. Tom spent two years in the Peace Corps in Colombia, South America. It says here a February wedding is planned - I hope it was a great success.

John Begley has joined the law firm of Petty, Andrews, Olsen and Tufts in San Francisco, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. LockwoodBarr of Hartland. Vt„ recently had a child named Alexander Martin Barr. Larry Muroff after graduating cum laude from Harvard Medical School has been granted a commission in the National Health Service. He will live in Washington, D. C.

Miss Nancy Adelle Palise and StephenRoberts were married in January. The reception was held at the Wayside Inn, Sudbury, Mass. Stephen has served in the Armed Forces since graduation. After a trip to Nassau, they will live in Denver. Al Nadel and Barbara Deutsch were married in Perth Amboy, N. J., early this year. MikeDancik and Larry Hurwitz were ushers. Barbara is studying for a Master of Arts degree in teaching at the University of Pittsburgh. Allen is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. He will receive his Doctor of Medicine degree in June. He studied at the Neurological Hospital in London last summer. They will reside at the Ruskin Apartments in Pittsburgh. John andDebbie Maine gave a rock and roll party at the Mask and Wig Club in Philadelphia, Pa. All I have is the write-up in the social column of the Philadelphia Inquirer. I m sure the party was a greater success than the article.
