The summer is over and a busy year of '45 is now upon us. The climax of the year of course is the Terrific Twenty-Fifth, so keep the calendar open for June 17-20 and start making plans for you and the family to be in Hanover for the festivities.
Out in St. Charles, Ill., Don Hawley has been elected chairman of the board of Hawley Products Company. He has been with the company since 1948 and served as executive vice president from 1956 to 1959, when he became president. Hawley Products is one of the leading companies engaged in the design, development, and manufacture of custom-molded fiber products. They produce shells for American Tourister luggage, speaker cones for sound reproduction systems, automotive door panels, and other structural assemblies.
Bob Schaeberle (president of National Biscuit Co.) has had two more positions added to his list of accomplishments. He is now the president of the general association of alumni of the College and, in the business world, was recently elected a director of Libbey-Owens-Ford Co.
Writing from Bethesda, Md., where he does neurosurgery for the National Institutes of Health, John Van Buren speaks of a recent promotion to Colonel, USAFR, his continuing efforts on a book on the thalamus and the fact that he and Shirley stay busy with their three children, ages ten to sixteen.
Moose Rowan, Frank Hutchins, their hardworking assistant class agents and the 396 loyal classmates came through again in the '69 Alumni Fund drive, raising $28,350 for 98.5% of our goal. This year we had to settle for second place in our Green Derby race. Recognizing talent, his fellow class agents chose Moose as president of the class agents association for the current year.
Stub Webster has been named senior vicepresident of Peterson, Howell and Heather of Baltimore, the world's largest fleet vehicle management and leasing concern. With the company since 1947, Stub had been vicepresident since 1957 and, in his new capacity, will supervise the truck division, the aircraft, and equipment leasing division and all personal car leasing operations.
Congratulations to Frank Mace who re cently wed Valerie Brenhouse, who numbers among her achievements the fact that she is a member of the New York bar. Frank is an independent real estate investor in Harbour Mews, Cable Beach, Nassau.

Vin Canby, New York Times movie critic, was in Hanover during the spring speaking before the Dartmouth Film Society Frank Hutchins was recently elected president of the YMCA of Rochester (N. Y.) and Monroe County Bob Lee has been appointed manager of the Philadelphia and Baltimore offices of the investment firm of White, Weld & Co. ... John Jorgenson has been named executive vice-president and assistant treasurer of Parsons Brothers Inc. of Bridgeport, Conn, (wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating and refrigeration supplies). ... Red Merrill, Col., USMC is now at the School of Naval Warfare, Newport, R. I John Byrnes is manager of the pension division, Travelers Insurance Co., with a home address of Lakewood, Ohio. ... Nick Sandoe was recently appointed vice-president for development at Wagner College, Staten Island George Kelley, living in Hyannis, Mass., speaks of a new 29-foot boat which he built this past year, and a new membership in the "grandpa" club which his daughter gave him.
