The New York Times of Jan. 3 carried a big picture of Myles Lane and 16 other lawyers being sworn in as New York State Supreme Court justices. The 17 were elected to 14-year terms at an annual salary of $39,100.
Larry Martin has been elected to the Board of Trustees of Governor Dummer Academytwo of his sons are alumni of the school.
The National Safety Council, at its 56th National Safety Congress in Chicago, elected Rick Rickenbaugh to its board of directors. Rick, president of the Rickenbaugh Cadillac Co., Denver, was recently elected president of the Colorado Safety Association.
Every year the Secretary of the College publishes a very useful booklet entitled "Dartmouth College Alumni Officers." This year, in addition to seven class officers, we find six other '28ers listed. Rupe Thompson gets double billing, as a Trustee and as chairman of the Dartmouth Third Century Fund. Under the Third Century Fund Organization, Chuck Bruder is co-chairman of the Manhattan district and Dick Walker is chairman of the Omaha district. Under Alumni Club officers, Upty Bartlett is listed for the eighth year as president of the Rockford (Ill.) Club and Bruce Lewis is president of the Dartmouth Club of the Palm Beaches, which has over 100 members and at those monthly luncheons Ernie Wright is a regular attendant. George Davis of Glens Falls, N. Y., is Area Enrollment Director for three districts in Northeastern and East Central New York.
Bob Reed, a retired lieutenant colonel in the Air Force, is now business manager of the Dallas Civic Opera Co. His son Bob is at the University of Washington.
A post card just received from Kenya reads, "Greetings from Mt. Kilimanjaro. Spent last night up a tree, which is best with lions below. Out on safari in this wonderful unspoiled country." It was signed by Bob Reid, the debonair bachelor of our 40th reunion. Bob travels the eight western states, including Hawaii, for American Pad & Pencil Co., but his vacation travel alone puts him in the "most travelled" bracket along with Bill Harris and Roy Myers.

A clipping from a Scarsdale, N. Y., paper with a headline "Rah! Rah! Rah!" tells about the wedding of Rocky and RuthKeith's daughter, Darilyn, and David Smith '66 at 4:30 on a Saturday last fall. We quote: "How come so late in the afternoon? Well, the bridegroom, the bride's father, her brother (Dick Keith '61), and three ushers are graduates of Dartmouth. And due to circumstances beyond their control, the Dartmouth-Harvard game was being played that afternoon. According to one source, if the wedding had been held earlier, most of the men would have been coming down the aisle with radios glued to their ears."
