This past week was spent on a trip throughout the entire eastern half of the country due to a recent change of the writer's responsibilities in his job. At no time were we ever on time when leaving one town for another via commercial airliners nor did we arrive in a town under better than marginal instrument conditions. The previous week, my wife and 3-year-old daughter attempted to join me in a flight from Denver to Milwaukee which ended up instead in a second rate Albert Pick hotel in downtown Pittsburgh at 5:00 a.m. the next morning. The point of all this is 1) Why did we ever leave Denver and Los Angeles for Milwaukee and 2) This must be the way that people are brought back to the realities of a Hanover type winter season after being removed from said for several years. Hopefully, my travels through the East will allow me to renew old friendships from Hanover days. Idle time spent at airports waiting for delayed flights gives me a opportunity to contact former classmates by telephone.

If it is as difficult to accomplish as to explain, I'm sure Len has his work cut out for him! On a recent trip to the West Coast, Len talked with Lee Gammill and Jim Hill.
