Rob Arthur died Saturday, February 8, at Mary Hitchcock Hospital following a ten week illness. Rob had been working in New Hampshire as an aide in Governor Walter Peterson's successful bid for the New Hampshire governorship. The class extends sympathy to his family and his wife Gerry.
Frank Herringer, who has a large share of the brains in our Class, has been elected a principal of Cresap, McCormick and Paget, Inc., an international management consulting firm with headquarters in New York City. While in college, he was a Rufus Choate Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude. Then he went on to Tuck, where he graduated with highest distinction in 1965. Since that time, he has been associated with Cresap, McCormick and Paget, working on assignments in this country and abroad. In December Frank was married to Nancy Powers in New Canaan, Conn.
Dave Hewitt and the former Miss Katherine Lamb were married in December in New Jersey. Bill Lewis was one of the ushers. Dave graduated from Harvard Business School and is now assistant vice president of Boston Insulated Wire and Cable Company. Hunt Whitacre and Lynne Wuerthele were married in December. They honeymooned in St. Croix in the Virgin Islands. Hunt and Lynne are now living in New York, where he is employed as a security analyst at Kidder Peabody Co., Inc. EdStern and Jennifer Kosh were married in Washington, D. C. The Sterns after a trip to Jamaica are living in Alexandria, Va. Ivars Bebris and Dorothy Ferry were married in Lebanon, Me. Ivars works for the Davidson Rubber Company and they are now living in Springvale, Me.
Steve Blecher and Amy Glick have announced their engagement. Steve after graduation entered the Army as an Intelligence Officer and now holds the rank of First Lieutenant in the U. S. Army Reserve. He is with the stock exchange firm of Newberger and Berman. Don Waite and Barbara Bogert announced their engagement in December. Don is with McKinsey and Company, Management Consultants. Ron Schram and Carol Anderson became engaged in January. Ron is a senior at the University of Michigan Law School. A July wedding is planned. Blair Clark and Eileen Quinn have announced their engagement and plan a June wedding.
George Turmail was promoted to the position of branch officer at the First National Bank of Boston. George has been with the bank since 1966 and is currently enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program at Boston University. George and his wife Linda have two daughters. BradEvans has completed four years' active duty as a Naval Flight Officer and has been enrolled since February 1 at the Columbia Graduate School of Business.
Chuck Marsh was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat "V" during ceremonies aboard the "U.S.S. Hamner" at the U. S. Navy Hunter's Point Shipyard, San Francisco, Calif. Chuck earned the award for achievement while serving aboard the Hamner off the coast of Vietnam.
