THE name of the show is "Dartmouth on the Road" and although it applies specifically to a group of thirty students and Dean Seymour, who are visiting eight cities during spring vacation to demonstrate the depth and variety of campus interests, the billing applies just as aptly to the disappearing act put on by the entire student body come mid-March and the holiday between terms.
Well before the last day of final exams, on March 20, most students had beat the Glee Club, spring teams, crew, and rugby players in hitting the road to warmer climes. Green grass and dry ground will look doubly good after one of the snowiest winters on record. Behind them the sun-seekers left a campus still deeply blanketed with snow (except where the steam pipes run) and the stuff that skiers pray for will still be around when classes resume on April 3. Those who make book on how late the snow will last under the north overhang of Alumni Gymnasium will have a nice little problem this year.
