APRIL 1969

The first week of the spring term will find Dartmouth in the Washington spotlight. On April 9, in the Court of Claims Building on Lafayette Square, a distinguished company of College, alumni, and government representatives, headed by Chief Justice Earl Warren of the United States Supreme Court, will take part in a program marking the 150th anniversary of the Dartmouth College Case decision. United States Senator Thomas J. McIntyre '37 of New Hampshire, President Dickey, and Judge Carl E. McGowan '32, chairman of the planning committee, will also be participants.

Because of the limited size of the room where the formal program will take place, attendance will be by invitation. After the speaking program, a reception will be held in the historic Tayloe House, which adjoins the Court of Claims Building.

At the Library of Congress in Washington, a commemorative display of material relating to the Dartmouth College Case is now being presented in the main foyer as one of the series of "Show Case Exhibits." Included in the display which runs through April 30 are manuscripts from the papers of Thomas Jefferson and Governor Plumer of New Hampshire, lithographs, engravings, and rare books.
