Have you made all preparations for getting under way for the Reunion? It's the only Thirtieth Reunion at Dartmouth you'll ever have. Better have the motor tuned in the old bus, Harry. You wouldn't want it to break down in Northampton or Lebanon or some such place. And, Harry, you better pack your snowshoes and your raccoon coat. They say there's a heap of snow in Hanover.
Genial Moose Wyman will be there. He's carrying the big load as chairman. Endy Smith is his right-hand man, Tom Brooks is treasurer, and Bob Field is cranking out the publicity from a hospital bed. Bob slipped on the ice in Beantown in early March and broke his leg in four places and may have to miss Reunion.
There has been a big response to the first Moose Call. The list of those who plan to attend lengthens daily. A big scoop is that all our ladies will receive a special Margaret Smith tote bag made from Brooks Brownfield's Dartmouth fabric. All those wishing to run up a matching outfit may see the proprietors and order dress lengths at Reunion. The memories will be many, the talk easy, the singing continuous, and the fellowship beyond compare.

Now we have two responsibilities and opportunities in giving to our College this spring. As Rupert Thompson '28 has pointed put, the Alumni Fund makes it possible for the College to meet recurring needs, just as we buy fuel for the furnace. But periodically we have to do more than pay the fuel bills. We have to buy a new furnace. And thats what the Third Century Fund is all about "The formal opportunity for a sharing of capital funds with Dartmouth does not come too often."
Newsletter Editor Walt Darby is also an artist. He and Bob Richman have sent us a rough draft of an original Indian cartoon that Walt will use in an early issue to tell you all about Reunion. There's a lot of work being done.

" The president of Colby Junior College, Ev Woodman, was elected president of the American Association of Junior Colleges at their annual bash in Atlanta on March 6. This little old club involves a thousand colleges dealing with about two million students. Our distinguished classmate is also a member of the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education for New England, vice president of the New Hampshire Council on World Affairs, and consultant to the National Association of Foreign Student Affairs. And we hope he has the runway all checked out at the Lebanon airport for Reunion.
As predicted in this column, Stan Brown, the president-elect of the New Hampshire Bar Association, has been elected a governor of the American Bar Association. Stan is a partner of the Manchester law firm of McLane, Carleton, Graf, Greene and Brown. We now predict, as the columnists say, that youthful Fred Upton will be elected next year to succeed Stan. If more of us lived in New Hampshire, we'd have an easier job finding a good lawyer when we needed one.

* It's been a great five years working for the Class since last reunion. In fairness, we that the secretary's job should be rotated to bring in fresh ideas. We think someone else should take a turn at it. Think it over.
And please plan to be in Hanover 16, 17, and 18. Give Moose the good word now.
