I promised more weddings last time. Arthur "Friendly" Fergenson participated in a double ring ceremony at Aquinas House last June 6. His bride was the former Susan LeBlanc of Manchester, N. H. Jeff Kelley, recent Master's, recipient from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism, was best man.

Another summer ceremony features Anne Hooper, Briarciiff '70, and Bill Kneisel. The Kneisels' honeymooned in the Bahamas and are now living in New York City. Janet Elaine Nichols was the summer bride of Jim Kasameyer. The recent Weliesley grad and Jim are living in Cambridge while Jim attends Harvard Law School.

A Boston area wedding united the former Phyllis Licker, Simmons '69 with Gerry Kassels. The Kassels are in Guadalajara, Mexico, where Gerry is a second-year graduate student at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. Cynthia Binkert, Penn '69, is the new bride of Fete Elias. She is working for a Master's degree in elementary education while he attends medical school, both at the University of Rochester.

Our uniformed numbers are doing quite well.

Class Treasurer, David Cook recently became engaged to Suzanna Day Wanner, a senior at Mt. Holyoke. Dave has completed an M.B.A. at Wharton and went on basic training with the Army Reserve in October. A June '71 wedding is planned. Geoff Young recently received a Commendation from Brig. General Lloyd L. Leech Jr. at the U. S. Army Air Defense School, Ft. Bliss, Texas. Geoff used his Dartmouth Spanish training to effectively brief visiting Mexican generals. General Leech remarked:

"The fact that it was presented entirely in Spanish without utilization of an interpreter was deeply appreciated by the visi- tors."

Roy Hitchmgs was also in Texas at Ft. Hood as an armor 2nd lieutenant. He went to Panama in August for jungle training prior to assignment to the you-know-where jungle. Roy, we all hope time over there passes quickly for you!

"Dirty" Ted Adams is at Ft. Sumter, S. C., with a new bride. He married the former Marcia Howe, Wellesley '69, in Arcadia, Calif., on June 20. Roy Flewelltng was best man with John Joline '70 and John Allen '71 providing Green strength. After honeymooning in Jamaica, the Adams family visited with Ted's parents in Camp Hill, Pa., where Ted was an itinerant waiter at the Jolly Bull Steak House.

I understand Stanford's A! Petersen now sports beautiful bushy burns! He was seen in Jacksonville at Jud Graves' wedding to the former Susan Flagin. John "Bus Driver" Mathias came in from Chicago for the event. He's in Boston now as a second year man at Harvard Law School.

Last month I adumbrated lascivious excerpts from the definitive American alumni novel which I must now postpone until next month because you guys are too lazy to write and I have to save something for the December issue. Anyway, this is my hackneyed and overworked plea for news!
