October 10 turned out to be the height of the autumn color in Hanover and a triumphant day for the Big Green on the gridiron. Early morning fog gave way to sunshine and high temperatures. It was shirtsleeve weather and over forty '36ers were spotted in the stands. A goodly number of this group took advantage of Phil andLeslie McInnis' invitation to tailgate picnic in their backyard before the game. After the victory over Princeton many classmates adjourned to Dexter's Lodge in Sunapee for cocktails and dinner. Several of the group were staying at Dexter's for the weekend. Nox and Cherry Howard were on hand from New Britain, Conn., where Nox is an attorney. Ferris and Pat Mack had made the trip from Long Island where he is a senior editor for Doubleday with responsibility for celebrity, craft, and educational titles. If anyone is looking for remainder titles by Tiny Tim or Zsa Zsa Gabor, he would be the man to see. The book industry has a tremendous appetite for new titles these days.

The '36 Executive Committee held a meeting at Dexter's on Friday night before the Princeton game. The subjects under discussion were limited to the 35th Reunion, coeducation at Dartmouth and assistance to the College in its efforts to attract eligible American Indians. There are about 22 Indians now enrolled and Dean Dey requested help in establishing a lounge for them in College Hall. The committee voted funds to help in this endeavor.

The former hosts of Dexter's Lodge, Chuck and Lois Aaron were present to partake of the food and drink rather than prepare it as in past years. Chuck is working as the business manager of the Lebanon School District. They are temporarily living at Bradford, N. H., on a lovely small lake. Their daughter Amy is a student at Clark University in Worcester, Mass.

The autumn weekend gave some parents the opportunity to combine college-looking with football. Pep and Ricki Minte stopped off on the way to show Smith and Mount Holyoke to their daughter, Drucilla. John and Nancy Sawyer followed the same routine with their daughter, Nancy. Frank and Marge Curtis are in an enviable position—their daughter, Susan, is a student at Dartmouth.

After the Dartmouth-Harvard game several classmates heeded Ed Higbee's call to assemble at the Ramada Inn. The success of the Dartmouth eleven turned out a large crowd at the Yale Bowl which later converged on the Fairfield Motor Inn in Fairfield, Conn. Norb Hofman held a brief 35th Reunion Committee meeting during the cocktail hour. Reunion will be four days in Hanover commencing on June 14. The last day will be principally a Hanover Holiday program put together by the College for the reunion classes. The committee is desperately trying to keep the cost down which is a difficult task these days. Costumes will be minimal but useful. Jack Smith and Bob Keeler dropped in for a drink. Although Bob is situated in .Cincinnati, he is getting east more often now that he has a house in Dorset, Vt. The head count at dinner was 38 and the younger members of the Class Jimand Kay Stephens and Brint and Doris Schorer stayed for the dancing. LaForrestand Ruth Thompson were in town from Burlington, Vt. Tommy who is a CPA was recently elected to a three-year term on the governing council of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a partner in the Burlington firm of Thompson, Prahl & Kelly. Dick and Ruth Stowell were guests from Vestal, N. Y.

The 200th Anniversary of Dartmouth's founding was brought to a close with a reenactment of the first meeting of the Board of Trustees at the Wyman Tavern in Keene, N. H. Dave Putnam of Keene welcomed the Trustees as a trustee of the owners of the Tavern, the Foundation for the Preservation of Historic Keene, Inc.

The merger of Harry Coronis' Industrial Reproductions Inc. of Nashua, N. H., into the Buckbee-Meers Co. of St. Paul was finally accomplished in October. The sad plight of the stock market held it up. Harry is now off to Europe to study methods of disposing of metallic wastes in industry. He will be studying this in Germany.

John and Jane Bouker have settled in Bernardston, Mass., after the many years of traveling with the U. S. Marine Corps. A retired Marine general won't be idle very long when the community realizes he is there.

Pete Fitzherbert, chairman of the nominating committee to bring in the slate for the next five years in June, will be aided by Frank Curtis, Brad Chase, and TomParker. The Fitzherberts will be off to England on Dec. 19 to spend Christmas with their daughter, Nancy and her husband Ron Walker.

The sympathy of the Class is extended to Joe Cunningham on the death of his son, SP/4 Richard S. Cunningham in Cambodia on May 14. How many of us have lived through this nightmare, but without such terrible loss.

Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy 35th Reunion Year. Don't forget to return the questionnaire cards you are receiving.
