The fall football weekend of October 16-17 saw a good group gathered in Hanover. As in previous years, the Class took over the Shady Lawn Motel in White River, complete with catered continental breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday. The business end of the weekend was the executive committee meeting held on Friday afternoon. Several points of discussion bear repeating:

The 1970 Alumni Fund goal of $45,000 was successfully reached. The Executive Committee gave a vote of thanks to the campaign leaders Moose Rowan, FrankHutchins, and Geoff Maclay. Thanks go also to the hard working assistant class agents and to the Class as a whole for its generous support in a year that saw college fund drives beset with multiple difficulties.

The Terrific Twenty-Fifth, while not the smashing success financially that it was socially, was not so far in the red that the class treasury will have any great problem in balancing the books. Again the executive committee gave a vote of thanks to PaulCaravatt and Shorty Pierce for their excellent job.

It is hoped to have President Kemeny meet with the executive committee during their next fall get-together, so that closer relations can be maintained between the College and the Class. President Kemeny did visit briefly with us during the Saturday evening festivities, graciously taking time out of his busy schedule.

Socially the weekend was enjoyable as ever—Friday night dinner at the Seven Gables—Saturday noon lunch with Bettyand Cliff Jordan (again, many thanks for your most gracious hospitality, Betty)—a powerful Big Green team having no trouble with Brown, 42-14—and Saturday night dinner at the Outing Club House. These fall weekends are too good to miss—plan to attend next year.
