President Chesley has expressed the sentiments of '08 in a letter to President Kemeny: "Dear Dr. Kemeny: As president of the Dartmouth 1908 Class and in behalf of the 54 remaining members of the class, I wish to congratulate you on your appointment to the Presidency of the College. We trust that your administration will be a happy one. We hope that you, as a Princeton alumnus, will be more considerate of our Alumni Association than your Alma Mater was last fall of our football team. Cordially yours, Roland E. Chesley."

On January 1, 1970, Web Evans and his wife, Priscilla, were treated to a Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary given by their sons and wives. Web sends best wishes to all '08ers.

Bert Thwing, whose wife, Mary, passed away after heart trouble last June, continue to live at the same address. He is lonesome at times, but he lives well, as he says, practicing his talent as "a chef of international reputation." At this writing Bert is spending a few weeks with his daughter, Marie, in Los Angeles. Don Comstock is convinced that York, Pa., is a very pleasant place in which to live. Proof - Don moved to York from Tucson, Ariz., four years ago to be near his family. A year ago the family moved to Indianapolis. Don stays in York, visits the family occasionally.

Ralph Sherburne has much to be thankful for, as he is able to go to his office every day to attend to his insurance business. Leon Woodward reports that NickCarter has not been well and that he had lost a son in Vietnam. Leon's mail address is now East Swanzey, N. H. 03446.

Christina (Mrs. L. E. C.) Amidon has resigned her work in Newport, R. I., and retired to a house which she and Ikky had purchased at 283 Main Street, West Harwich, Mass. She has had a couple of brief battles with her health lately.

Many cordial notes have been received from our widows: Esther Blanchard, BettyBaine, Claire Thompson (carrying out her and Phil's plans for alterations in their house and garden), Elizabeth Safford, Dorothy Symmes (her operation complete but still going easy with her eyes), Jane Schilling ("Blessings to all"), Gertrude Sides, and Blanche Stone.

A corrected address for Mrs. Willard C.Winkley: 969 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham, Mass. 01701. George Lowe has pulled up his stakes at his Cleveland home where he has lived 25 years, and is permanently located at Griffwood Mobile Park, Box 539, Leesburg, Fla. 32748, in a mobile home, largely of his own design.
