Once again Al Louer and his army of class agents put it all together and came up at the June 30 deadline with another Green Derby victory. The College is the beneficiary of this class effort under Al's able leadership.

Belated congratulations of 1926 to Sew Mills who in February married Frances Keeler in Clarksdale, Miss.

If plans have proceeded on schedule Chuck and Lois Abbott are back stateside after a month in Paris, ready to see the Harvard and Yale games.

Also presumably Bruce and Kay Eaken have emerged from their behind-the-roncurtain visits to Berlin (East and West), Prague, Leningrad, Moscow, Vienna, Budapest, and Dubrovnik. Da or Niet, Bruce?

Malcolm Jones, in a letter to Al Lcuer, had two incisive comments: (1) he and Lydia think Hub Harwood's "Smoke Signals" the best class bulletin in the country ("it should be, our class was a great one," said Male); (2) the 1970 football team reminded him of the '25 group. 1926 heartily concurs on both counts.

After 45 years' service in public school education Jesse Morgan retired last June as Superintendent of Schools of Harwich, Mass. Jesse was honored at a reception and dinner for his fine innovative administration and his dedicated service in the civic, church, and social activities in the community.

The Aronovskis suffered two devastating, separate blows in recent months. Marion was seriously injured when her car was hit by a driver ignoring a stop sign and may be hospitalized for months. John then had a coronary and both are in Boca Raton (Florida) Community Hospital. 1926 sends its heartfelt wishes for speedy recovery.

Ted Infield reports from Burnt Hills, N. Y., that he is enjoying his second year of retirement from G. E. Company, that he has a two-year-old granddaughter and that he helps out on Alumni Fund his erstwhile roommate, Chuck Abbott. Another retiree Bill Viall, reports from Manhasset, N. Y. that he retired August 1 from Adams Express and that his grandchildren now total eight.

"Hollywood Reporter" 40 years ago today column as clipped by Cap Palmer '23 for our exclusive 1926 use reads: "New Frank Capra picture, temporarily titled 'Gallagher' started at Columbia this week. Loretta Young, Jean Harlow and RobertWilliams head cast."

Tequesta, Fla., is the place where many projects on a new home and grounds are going forward under the personal direction of Reg and Samie Hanson.

Golf in summer and curling in winter is the tough program undertaken by Jim Sullivan. He and Dorse spent a pleasant 10 days at Hot Springs with Jim preparing for a later annual member-guest match with Joe Batchelder. When curling at Winchester Country Club with "younger" Dartmouth men (1931-41), Jim and GardnerBrown both respond to the dubious title of "Pop." Lou and Muriel Ingram enjoyed a long holiday in London during the summer, which also included a two-week side trip to Norway.

Our diligent class treasurer, Jack Roberts, duly deposits all dollars as received and sends in for the class notes his newsy "Dear Jack" letters. One such is from Bud Banfield, who, when not teaching junior high school English and directing adult education, takes trips with Marian to such places as California (Christmas), Florida (Easter), Tennessee, and New Orleans (summer vacation).

John Hammond's "Dear Jack" note relates that he is busy with architectural work on St. Croix in the Caribbean and community projects in Washington, D. C., his home town.

Herewith a twin report: Herm and Dot Trefethen spent the winter in California, Hawaii, Tahiti, Australia, and Fiji, running into Fred Rowe while in Hawaii. Harold Trefethen holds forth in Amherst, N. H., with his sister Dot and reports much improved health with outdoor activity on the grounds of their colonial home and indoor activity cataloguing 1926's finest known rock and mineral collection.

A mini '26 reunion in Detroit included Walt and Billie Rankin, who were on from Providence, R. I., Perk and Arlene St. Clair and Bob Edgar.

The maxi '26 informal summer reunion August 20-22 in Hanover began Friday evening when 40 1926ers and wives gathered at Emmy Merrill's lovely home in Norwich as her guests for cocktails, then dinner at The Hanover Inn, followed by entertainment at Hopkins Center "Cabaret" (an arthritis benefit) which committee member Barbara Hayward had duly publicized. On Saturday the annual 1926 picnic at Hyla Brook Farm, South Reading, was hosted as usual by Ed and Peggy Emerson who provided Vermont scenery, a wonderful luncheon topped off with sugar-bush cake and buggy rides with Ed at the reins. That evening the reunion wound down with dinner at the Outing Club, which together with the many weekend activities had been arranged by frater in urbe, John Manser.
