Your secretary may have been a little previous in discussing the 70th Reunion to take place next June. For want of news, we called David Orr, who gave us a sketch of the important event and some of the plans, which we included in the class notes of October. Chet Studwell has just announced the committee with HermonFarwell as chairman, Col. Drake and myself as his assistants. So apologies are offered to President Chet, Chairman Hermon and the Colonel for any embarrassment this may have caused them. An effort to kill the notes was unsuccessful, since the Alumni Magazine was already in print.

Hermon is in the Chicago area visiting his daughter and he will go on to Denver from there. You will hear more from him either in the December notes or directly by correspondence.

J. Frank Drake has recently spent two weeks in the Moosehead Region of Maine where he had moderate success with landlocked salmon. My son reminds me that some years ago he fished Moosehead with no success, saw a number of salmon rolling, and was marooned by the failure of a balky motor quite a way up the lake from Greenville. My son's fishing in Ireland this summer for Atlantic salmon was likewise unproductive, he says, due to the low water and the netting of the salmon in the ocean.

Frank also reports a long letter from Harold Plumer in Hawaii who does feel quite well, but is limited in his activities. Frank's report on Cyril Smith is good to have, because Cyril is much better and is recovering from his troubles.

After 58 years at 33 Rope Ferry Road, my wife Ida Louise is moving to a condominium at 5 Willow Spring Circle in Hanover. This is located about 200 yards off East Wheelock Street. Going east at the foot of Balch Hill, one turns left on Verona. If I am well enough and we can get round-the-clock help, I hope to join her.

Keep the news coming, because your classmates wish to hear from you.
