Blessed with ideal tailgating weather and two successive, seat-squirming Harvard and Yale contests, those who trekked to Cambridge and to the hills of Hanover were well entertained by the Green elevens.
Yours truly could not make the V history-making contest; however, the Harvard game should suffice for some time to come. My poor Mary was thrown into the air when the go-ahead field goal was made against Harvard with only two seconds showing on the clock, and in the excitement I neglected to catch her on the way down ... Things are rough around the ranch these days!!
Per usual, a fine show was held by Gene Brooks and Charlie Curtis prior to and after the game at the Harvard tennis courts.
Our executive meeting was held at the tennis court location, and while doing some class business, John Barto, Bob Brace, Ed Finnerty, Don McCloud, Sam Walliis and myself could meet the group as they entered the courts. Those who were met and viewed by the Committee were early birds Jay and Edie Anderson, Jack andDodi Boyle, Muriel and Chuck Nevens,Billy Breed, Don Smith and a host of others—Sorry for the lost game program, gang—your names were on it.
After the game the Jack Boyles entertained a group at their new home and from all reports the party was a real bash. Jack was carting out warm bodies on Sunday morning with one of his Fork Lift Trucks—who claims we're getting old?
