Dirty Story. March in New Hampshire gives rise to many strange happinin's. But none like the one I seen while hikin' on the road to Goose Pond just north of Hanover 'Twas misty, muddy and almost dusk as I rounded the curve near Barnaby Brook And there it were! Bobbin' and weavin' And sidelin' to' me. A strange critter Short. Squat. Right evil lookin'. Well, I was just ready to take the shoe leather express in the opposite direction, when I discovered it was only Irwin Zooker's grey felt hat Yup, the very same one he mail-ordered from Lee's down in Danbury in Connecticut. What's more. Trwin was still under it Plum up to his lower lip in mud. So I bent down and sez to Irwin. "Irwin. Mighty muddy weather to be out walkin'." Irwin looked up, spat out some of New Hampshire's, finest and retorte "Walkin' Who's walkin'? I'm on hoś-back!"
Since graduation Jim Friedman's climb to the top has accelerated so much so that the Great State of Ohio had to put a governor on him. Or, more precisely, Gov' Gilligan put Jim on his staff as executive counsel responsible for policy and administration. Before this Jim was busy earning a law degree from Harvard, clerking for Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Judge Weick, serving as member of the Cleveland law firm of Gottfried, Guren, Ginsberg and Merritt; as member of the Democratic State Exec. Committee; as member of the board of trustees of the PATH Assn., and the list goes on and on. For further details write Jim. He, wife Ruth, and daughter Laura reside in Cleveland.
Meanwhile in Columbia, Mo., USAF Capt. Rich Dickinson finally has gotten his career off the ground. Rich was recently awarded an MBA from U. Missouri and credits studying in the quiet of his silo as a major contributing factor to his degree. His silo houses a SAC missile by the by. Wife Melanie says it's alot safer than the '02 room.
As a Big Green hockey player, George Richardson has a knack for scoring the Big One. Well, George's come through once again. This time, however, his goal is a July wedding to Miss Gayle Gunderson (Mt. Holyoke alum). After graduation George served with the Army Security Agency in Japan, and then was a foreign service officer '66-68, holding the position of vice council and third secretary of the U. S. Embassy in Seoul, Korea. Ah so! But I guess George's shorthand wasn't fast enough cuz now he's at B.U. Law expecting to graduate in June.
Speaking of Great Expectations, up in Pembroke, Mass., Scott and Marcia Babcock had finally had theirs. A bouncing bundle of blue. Yup, Richard Scott Babcock, 7 lbs. 13 oz. on Dec. 28, 1970. (P.S. I still think you kids could have made it up to the S. Scott's skiing New Year's.)
