Cal Christman wrote a nice note recently to bring us up to date on his activities. Cal and Nina have moved to Oskaloosa, Iowa, where Cal is an associate professor in history and political science at William Penn College, an 800 student liberal arts college affiliated with the Quaker Church (which, incidentally, fields a fine football team for its size). Cal sports that Al Pierce and his wife Joan are the proud parents of their first child—a boy, reportedly destined to wear the green.

Two more '64s have been appointed to academic positions recently. Bennet Eisenberg, an M.I.T. Ph.D. and a specialist in probability, has been named assistant professor of mathematics at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. Ken Hannsgen, who earned his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin, has been named assistant professor of mathematics at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.

An old Ripley Hall friend and neighbor, Brian McMahon, wrote recently to share his past with us. Brian (fondly remembered for his Montana drawl and his quick draw with twin cans of Aeroshave) did a stint with the Peace Corps in Colombia in 1964 before returning to Hanover to finish his A.B. He returned to Colombia in 1966 as an employee of Sinclair Valentine and Johnson and Johnson; in 1968, Brian married the lovely Martha Lucia Vargos of Cali, Colombia. In 1970, Brian earned an M.B.A. from Valle University in a cooperative program with Stanford and Georgia Tech. Since 1971, he has been President of Inmont Corporation's Venezuelian operation. Martha and Brian are the proud parents of twin boys, born in Caracas last March, who are stated to be Dartmouth '94s. The McMahons invite all '64s who may be hiding in Venezuela to drop in anytime.

This month's '64 Career Spotlight shines brightly upon the entire body of the "Squirrel," as the friends of Bob Shirley knew him in his glorious days of Kappa Sigdom. After several false starts in the family walnut-burying business, Squirrel turned to Owens-Illinois, who recognized his natural talent for handling drinking glasses. Bob is now running the Chicago Sales branch of Libbey Glassware, and resides at 1456 Scott Avenue in Winnetka, Ill. He and his lovely wife Pam have a four-year old son and a two-year old daughter, and are enjoying suburban living. Rumors that Bob has designed and successfully marketed a line of suggestively- shaped glassware called "Women's Libbeys" which are guaranteed to drive men to drink are false and misleading, and should be ignored.

Bill Barnet, Keeper of '64 Coin, reminds us all to send him a check for $9 to cover our class dues for this year. Proceeds from the dues will assure your continued receipt of the Alumni Mag and the Class Newsletter, and will help the class support Dartmouth's worthy Jersey City Program. Checks should be made payable to Dartmouth 1964 and mailed to Bill at his above address.

Ever ask yourself, "Whatever happed to 'Duke' Zeller after he left the Green in 1962 to become head of the Senate Pages in Washington? Good question. Duke, how about an answer?

The decimation of '64's bachelor ranks continues. The latest sacrifice at the Altar of Matrimony has been Francis Montgomery, who married the former Wendy Anne Lippman (a pert alumna of Wells College), in Solebury, Pa., on September 30. Monty is with Manufacturer's Hanover Trust in New York.

That's about it for the class news bag. Please drop me a line with news about yourself or other '64's. Later.
