A letter from Hermon Farwell, chairman of the reunion committee to me and a similar one to Frank Drake indicates activity of the committee, which augers well for an interesting 70th. Indications are, at this time, that we shall have the largest 70th ever. A full report of the committee and schedule of activities will be available either next month or the one after.

I believe it was on Tuesday, January 25 we had very high winds and an old landmark, familiar to most of you, was destroyed. This was the barn, then owned by the Wardens, in which Frank Almy, murderer of Christie Warden hid until he was discovered.

Of further interest to you, a 1901 photograph of the campus, which had been inadvertantly put into our auction, was retrieved by my son and given to the Hanover Historical Society, where it is on display in Webster Cottage. The frame was of wood salvaged from old Dartmouth Hall. A trip to Webster Cottage during Reunion might bring back memories.

My grandaughter, Nancy Dudley of Washington, D.C., has applied for admission in next fall's entering class. Her school record is excellent, but with so many applications of quality, her chances are in the laps of the gods.

The following items have been received from Chairman Hermon Farwell whose Reunion Committee includes Col. J. FrankDrake and your secretary:

"Because there is necessarily a considerable time interval between the writing of a news item and the actual appearance in print, the Reunion Committee has felt it desirable to report some items, even though a few changes may have been made before they appear in print.

"Our headquarters are to be in a 'Function Room' on the second floor of the Hanover Inn. This room will be reserved for our exclusive use. It is expected that classmates will report there early Friday afternoon, June 9, having first registered at the Inn desk. For those of the Class, men and widows, who have already indicated intention to attend, rooms from Friday to Monday have been reserved at the Inn, where only alumni and alumni widows can be accommodated at this time. Dormitory rooms for relatives who accompany members of the Class will be available. Requests for such rooms should be sent in early April to Hermon Farwell.

"For the Class the fixed features of the program for Friday and Saturday are the two dinners, (Friday at 6:30 pm in the Function Room, and Saturday at the same hour in the Drake Room in the Hopkins Center), and the official class meeting in the Function Room at 11:00 am Saturday, followed by the class picture at 11:15 on the patio of the Inn."
