Dimitri ("Count)" Shvetzoff and his wife Tatsia reside in Menlo Park, Calif., where he operates the Dee Real Estate Company. Born in Russia, Dimitri has to be the only member of the Class who ever served in the Royal Horse Guards during Russian Imperial days. After a stint in a Bolshevik prison and subsequent stop-offs in Poland and Belgium, Dimitri reached the U. S. in January 1922. He was admitted to Dartmouth exactly one year later as a member of the Class of 1924. While his present life seems serene when looked at from here, Dimitri has had his share of adventure, including stretches on General Eisenhower's staff in North Africa during World War II and post war diplomatic service in Czechoslovakia and Poland.

The Alumni Records Office sent SpudSpaulding a "second request" 1971 questionnaire which Spud obediently filled out and returned, but with a notation: "I mailed you the first request, so help me Nancy [Elliott]!" Spud was right, for his Alumni Records file contains both questionnaire forms duly executed. But what troubles us is Spud's uncertainty about the spelling of his wife's name and the date of their marriage. The first form recites "Kay" and "1927," respectively; but the second try came out "Kae" and "1926." (Note to Spud: After you have consulted your wife kindly report back.)
