Roger Rines writes that dues payments this year are somewhat behind last year's great response, and he hopes that those of you who haven't sent him $10 yet will do so soon. '65 is solvent for the first time since our graduation, and the more of a reserve we can build up, the more active our class can afford to be in the years ahead.

Those who have paid their dues have sent not only funds, but news:

Jim and Laurie Hamilton have welcomed #2 into the family. Jill joined her older sister Sara on February 27. All the Hamiltons live in Cohasset, Mass.

Another '65 baby was born to John and Barbara Daily. Craig Alexander arrived on March 6 and joined his parents at their new home in Port Chester, N. Y. Dad Daily is an advisory marketing representative with IBM.

From the West Coast comes the news that Harris Saxon's Naval career was terminated by a most fortunate "early out"—two years early, yet. Sax and family have moved from his station in Orlando, Fla., back to San Francisco, and he has rejoined the law firm of McCutchen, Doyle Brown & Enersen.

Judge and Mrs. A. Benjamin Scirica of Norristown, Pa., have announced the engagement of their daughter Nina to JimKingsdale. Jim has an MBA from Harvard, and is in the investment business in Boston. A July wedding is planned.

Glenn Currie has been elected assistant treasurer of the Paul Revere Companies, a subsidiary of Avco Corp. and comprised of the Paul Revere Corp., The Paul Revere Life Insurance Co., and The Paul Revere Variable Annuity Insurance Co. Glenn lives in Ridgefield, Conn., and works at Avco headquarters in Greenwich.

Warner Allen is a captain in the Marine Corps, and is busy as a JAG trial counsel at the Joint Law Center, Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro, Calif.

Bethesda, Md., is home for the JackMacDonalds, while Jack does research at the National Cancer Institute there. Their brood now numbers three: Margaret, 5; John, 2; and Kathleen, 1.

Dr. Russell Rothrock is a resident in neurological surgery at the University of Louisville (Ky.), with plans to move on to Montreal in the fall for more study in neurology and neuropathology. He is a Tulane Med. Grad.

Jim and Martha Griffiths are at home in Norwich, Vt., and are developing and running Whaleback Ski Area (formerly SnoCrest) in Lebanon. The renewed area has become a favorite of New Hampshire skiers (new chair lift, trails, and lodge) and the Griffiths love their new undertaking.

Korky Terada has been busy these past few years. In 1970 a new bride, Carolyn, in 1971 a first child, Korekijo Jr., and over the same period the start of an importexport business specializing in sporting goods and furniture at home in Fukuoka, Japan. Oh yeah, Korky has found the time on the side to teach international economics at a Japanese university. He says their door is always open to '65's traveling in the Orient.

Columbia granted an MBA to HarrisonWarrener last June, and he has since joined the B.F. Goodrich firm in Akron, Ohio. In February he was married to the former Cade Trufant.

Mike Billone also has lots of news. Within the past two months he has earned a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Northwestern, gained a daughter Amy, and begun work at Argonne National Lab in the Chicago area as an engineer with a Non-Destructive Testing Group.

Chuck Zeh is the executive director of the Washoe County Legal Aid Society of Reno, Nev. Chuck is a graduate of Cornell Law School.

Back in the U. S. is Eric Engstrom, who picked up two Bronze Star medals last year serving as a morale and welfare officer in Viet Nam. Upon his discharge last fall he became associated with the Wichita, Kansas law firm of Fleeson, Gooing, Coulsen & Kitch.

Dr. Myron Falchuk, wife Joan and daughter Wendy (1) will be back in Boston beginning in the summer, when he'll become chief resident at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. Right now Myron is finishing up a three year stint at the National Institute of Health.

Wedding news from Ward Hindman, now an Air Force captain. Last December he married Miss Norma Chavez, a nurse at the Texas Mental Health Center in her hometown of Laredo.

A few months ago I blew the name of Stu Keiller's employer. It's Profile Ski Wear in West Lebanon, and he's their marketing director. Sorry Stu'

Bud Hoffman, until last fall a corporate attorney for Oneida Ltd. Silversmiths, has opened his own law office, in Oneida, N. Y. He's a graduate of Syracuse Law School.

'65's fecundity factor continues to rise—Bill and Mary Stanton welcomed Laura Elizabeth last fall. Bill is in his second year of a general surgery residency at the University of Cal—Irvine.

As I write these notes our early returns in the Alumni Fund are very encouraging. We have 10% of our $11,800 goal in hand. By now you have been contacted by a classmate about giving; your positive response to that appeal will give Dartmouth and '65 a real boost.

Happy days and peace!
