The Alumni Fund is rolling along in high gear and by the time you get this it will be approaching the finale. 'SB has always done a fine job and I am sure that when the tallies are in we will show up well again. We have an important tradition to uphold. Last year our class placed 40th in terms of total class giving. The classes of '52 and '53 were the only others in the '50's to beat us and the next closest class was '54 in 50th place. The College is well deserving of this kind of support. The growth, the progress, and the calm that pervade the campus are a marked contrast to the stagnation and unrest that are so evident on so many other campuses especially here in Boston. If you haven't already given, send in your contribution now and if you have already given, but might be able to squeeze out a little more, then send in another check. And while you have that check book out, drop your class dues in the mail if you haven't yet done so.
There is a change of address for the Skip Coggin family. "Skip, Wynn, Laura, six years, and Anne, three years, are moving to Longmeadow, Mass. Skip has been made vice president of Marketing for B. F. Our new address is 342 Farmington Road, Longmeadow, Mass. 01106."
Another "Tucker," Larry Hampton, writes from London, "It looks like more of the same for the Hamptons. True, Joy and I have been living in London for the past two and a half years, while I have been helping to build our Marketing Consulting Business here (Glendinning Associates International). We have been living in a charming part of London called Hampstead in a house that is probably 150 years old (and it has a plumbing and electrical system that are at least 250 years old). Now I have just recently learned that in July I will be transferring to our fledgeling Paris office for at least a year and probably more. We have, in the past - year or so, established continental offices in Frankfurt and in Paris, but in the latter, we currently have only three junior Frenchmen who are responsible for low level execution. My assignment will be to build our business in France and around the Continent and specifically to make our French office a large, stable and growing proposition. It is an exciting prospect and I am delighted at this turn of events. . . . True has been over apartment hunting this past week and I think we have one in the Neuilly section of Paris—this time a modern apartment—that is located within a short walking distance of Marymount, a school that Joy, our six-year-old, can attend in English while learning French. We will probably have the only American little girl who speaks French with an English accent. One of the nice things about living in Paris will be our close proximity to the Alps where we have always skied as often as my time and bank account allowed. Unfortunately with the miserable snow conditions and a lot of other travel interference we only got one week in Lech this past winter. We compensated however by going on a 16 day safari in Kenya and Tazania the first half of March. That is a glorious and very worthwhile trip that anyone interested should take soon, because the high influx of tourists, plus a tremendous upset of the ecological balance of nature in the parks, together with poaching, is going to make a safari a much different proposition in just a few years."

I've just returned from Class Officers Weekend where President Dick Frisch, Treasurer Bill Van Law (and wife Kay), and Jane and I came away with a renewed sense of satisfaction that Dartmouth College is indeed a very unique and outstanding place and will continue to remain so. We spent a very pleasant Saturday evening with Ralph and Sally Manuel and Daveand Ann Bradley. Ralph is associate Dean of Freshman and Dave is an attorney handling all of the College's legal work. As usual we never left the Bradley's until very late; the evening before we left the Manuels at a late hour and had a chance to see Dr. Ted Harris and Mary Ann. Hanover may be lacking in some things, but overalll it looks like a mighty fine place to live.
Happy Summer to All!!
