Cle and Butch Priest, Janice andChris Cundey, Kate and Bill Duggan, and Joan and I were again fortunate to be in Hanover on May 5-6 for this year's edition of Class Officers Weekend, and we were treated to the usual stimulating program and just plain beauty of "the place." Spring -has been late and wet in Hanover this year (Chase Field was under water) but we saw the sun for what we were told was only the third time since schlump season ended. We came away feeling that matters are well in hand, and whereas coeducation was the consuming issue last year, the current attitude seems to be relief that the question is finally settled and now the necessary energy can be channelled toward implementing the Dartmouth Plan and coeducation successfully.
Butch will cover class business matters discussed in our abbreviated executive committee meeting via a separate letter which you may have received already.
Dick Hoehn who was unable to make Hanover this year for our meeting, has just been made a partner of Ely, Bartlett, Brown & Proctor, a well-known Boston law firm. Congratulations, Dick!

This month closes out the 1972 Alumni Fund Drive and there is no need for me to repeat the reasons why Dartmouth is relying on us for financial support. Early returns indicate 1959 has started off very well and I sincerely hope each of us will do his part to help the class meet its share of the Fund's goal.
Hope you all have a pleasant summer.
