Would you believe that letters are pouring in? Hardly true, but due to five or six recently omitted epistles, plus various telephonic communicational inputs from the Alum Fund, you have for your perusal some less than intimate information about your former matriculation mates.

From Greg Saue comes the less than discouraging word that he has packed up for Madison, Wis., to intern at University Hospitals. Greg takes with him his wife Lucinda and child Ilse.

Matt McCarthy also transmitted on a 3x5. His "motherlode of vital statistics" reads: married to the former Abby Haywood Braxton (8/4/72), graduated V'bilt Law in May '72, passed Mo. bar exam, now practices law with Voorhees & Summers in St. Loo.

Back to Med Schools, Hamp Rich claims that he and Ben Benner graduated from Baylor College of Medicine on June 8. Ben will remain in Houston to dabble in neurosurgery and Hamp will journey to UMinn to pick up a few surgical pointers. Ben, by the Ben, married Jodie Tronson last March, Hamp and Bob Gunst put in appearances, Hamp bumped into Loren Lortscher while skiing in Denver last winter. LL put Colorado Med behind him in June and will wend his way back to Hanover for a psych residency. LL can always rely upon classmates who lost their minds and returned to Hanover.

Still on the Med School circuit, young JeffreySaffer checks in as a soon-to-be father of two. On his way to an internship at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Safe claims "Maine is just my speed." Bill Rollings, it is safe to report, married someone last year and will relocate to UMass for a teaching masters. Dick Hinman phils his weekday time at JHopkins, while on weekends he peddles stereos in Va. Oh yes, Safe hasn't seen a poker chip in four years. Bring on Edwards and Effron.

Let's not leave a beaten path. John Penney married a classmate at JHopkins Med, which he recently wrapped up. Nick Perencevich does something all day and night at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Beantown.

But the investigative prize of the month goes to our reliable, but unnamed source, who uncovered Al Sloan at Yale Med, which Mr. S reached via a stint at Harvard Bus and a year off in NYC. Al may play pro ball yet.

One last Med School note: Bob Nadelberg finished Harv Med and soon will be found in Tucson in surgical emergency.

For the more mundane, Ole Dave Meyercord, after a Dart career interrupted by three years in the service, has settled, more or less, at UTex Law. His current marriage partner, his only one so far, is Pamela, and they created Rebecca. Dave obtusely relates that Ed Coward scooped up an MBA at UTexas and now toils for a Houston bank. Emerson Horner, he says, is somewhere in Ohio.

Mike Shortridge recently left the Air Force after a tour at Duke Law. Mike will practice law in West Plains, Mo., where he and his wife Linda expect the first of many tall Shorties.

Gentleman Jim Sutton, after finishing CO work in Boston, will enter Simmons for a masters in Libe Sci. Jim is married and the proud daddy of two little big ones: Jennifer and Ursala.

Next: Gary Houston. Gary will soon pick up a degree in law and city planning at Yale and then intends to work for the AG of Texas in environmental protection. Al Moncure left Yale Law for the Wall St. offices of Cravath, Sloan, & Moore. Dave Kinsey is picking up a Ph.D. in political sci at Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School.

Next to lastly, erstwhile John Briganti has found Transcendental Meditation (TM) to be his bag. He will teach TM and the Science of Creative Intelligence as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. John practices twice a day for 20 minutes and claims "it has the beautiful effect of increasing one's use of his mental potential, his thinking processes, and at the same time provides deep rest to the body during which stress and tension dissolve and one's health improves. With both my mind and body functioning better than ever before, life has just become so enjoyable for me - and thousands of others."
