The weather's crisp, the fuel is low and the news from the Class of 1966 is sparse. But what we've got, you'll get.
Troy Mills is located in Troy, N.H. So is Barrett Ripley, in an old farmhouse with a big barn. When Barrett's not laying in fire wood or fixing the siding he's down at the mill working on engineering and planning problems.
Here's a handy guide to class doctors, in case you've got a problem that can only be discussed with a qualified Big Greener. Dr. Steve Abram is at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Key West. Nearby are Doctors Dan Wuensch in Miami Beach and Dave King in Tampa. We've got some New York physicians, like Paul Chrzanowski and Roy Rubin, as well as healers out in the hinterlands, like Dr. John Perry in Norristown, Pa.
Three personal observations before we wish you a very healthy and happy 1974:
1) It sure looked like an Indian down on the sidelines during Dartmouth's upset victory over Harvard. An Indian who behaved with dignity and brought us success. A sight for sore eyes.
2) Caleb Loring and his fund raising team inspired us to new class giving records. More inportantly, involvement by '66s in Dartmouth affairs is high, and involvement leads to interest and interest to constructive action to improve a place we care about.
3) A guy can't go on telling you where doctors live. If you're too modest, ask your wife, mother, or daughter to write and blow your horn. A little toot now and again never hurts.
Observations over. Now best wishes for a healthy and happy Seventy-four. May it be the best yet.
