Rev. John F. Schaeffer Jr. is into the second year of his pastorate at Good Shepherd United Church of Christ in Reading, Pa., having retired from the Navy in June of 1971.

Apparently everything is OK in Oklahoma for Bruce Bryer, who was last heard from in Hawaii. After receiving two degrees, including a masters in education from the University of Hawaii, Bruce is teaching library science at Central State University in Edmond, Okla. He writes that wife Garnet, and daughters Judy, 15, and Susan, 12, enjoy the small college town atmosphere 20 minutes away from Oklahoma City.

Bill Ragan has been appointed vice president of research and development for the Kendall Company of Boston, manufacturer of surgical supplies. He joined the company in July of last year as director of industrial research at its fiber products laboratory, following positions as chief engineer of RCA's magnetic product division and in DuPont's film division. Bill went on from Dartmouth to earn a Ph.D. from Notre Dame. He now lives in Wayland, Mass.

Several months have passed, but Bob Allen still remembers with pleasure the trip his family made to Jamaica to escape the winter chill. They relaxed beneath the sun at a villa in Ocho Rios.

The debut of the women's basketball team at Dartmouth was a winning one, a 27-20 victory over Colby Junior College, Feature of the game was a sctintillating performance by Vickie Bohn, who matched the losers' score by tossing in 20 points. And, yes, she is the daughter of '47's Bob Bohn.

A very nice note from Bob Klatt in Deerfield, 111 tells of his family and business activities. The Klatts' oldest son attends the Colorado School of Mines and three other children range down to a third grader. Bob is involved with two privately held businesses. He is owner-vice president of American Chemet, manufacturer of zinc oxide, cuprous oxide and copric oxide. Columbia Paint Co "was recently spun off by itself." It has manufacturing facilities and stores of its own with plants in Helena, Mont. Very active in the Presbyterian Church, Bob finds time for fishing, gardening and travel with the family.

Bill Clay, my neighbor, has acquired a new honor, having been elected a director of Valley Bank and Trust Co. in Springfield.

A reminder—the Class of '47's goal in the Alumni Fund Drive now under way is $36,000, which in comparison to our reunion giving may seem like a snap. It is roughly about 25 percent more than the Class contributed in 1971 and is a real challenge, but one campaign worker feels they can meet.

"April Ist. in '4B"

No one thought we'd see the date When the 25th would soon be here. We had no idea it was so near.

The years have quickly passed us by And there is little time to sigh,

Or weep enough to make a pool, For this year it isn't April Fool!
