In the bayou country down amongst the Cajuns Larry Furrer is superintendent of manufacturing services of Monsanto's Luling, La. plant. He welcomes New Orleans visitors and suggests they phone him (504-483-2732). Daughter Pamela June will be attending Wagner College on Staten Island this fall. Ted Price mentions that his biggest news has to do with son Bob who is a 10th grader who plans to spend his spring vacation in Paris with his Cleveland, Ohio, French class. Ted allows that he does not remember that kind of French class in his day.

Len Neely in Hawaii is patient account manager for Kaiser Foundation's Medical Care Program there. Len reports that life in paradise is still expensive but he has not tired of it after six years. He mentions that other Dartmouth graduates Bob Wilcox and Conrad Bohuslav '50 are administrator and regional manager at the same hospital. Len specifically comments on the congratulations due to all our classmates who have become commanding officers of their respective Navy vessels.

Rick Worrel describes himself as the leading, if not jaded, authority on Porno-Chic, which is a startling announcement until one recalls that he was appointed License Commissioner in Providence, R.I., and is among the first to see such film gems as "Deep Throat," "Teenage Fantasy" and "Last Tango." Thanks for the tip, Rick, on "Teenage Fantasy," we might have missed that one. Bill and Sheila Wheeler are still in Pasadena where he is president of Hearst/Airhart Products in nearby Chatsworth. The Wheeler's children are Douglas, 3½, and Heather, 1½.

Polly and Sam Fry were in Moscow and Oslo with the State Department over the past few years and they have recently settled into a house on Capitol Hill in Washington. Sam reports that a colleague's daughter has been pressing him for information about Dartmouth, where she intends to apply and thus has brought home coeducation to another in our midst. Tom Penchoen and family are in Morocco until the end of the school year having spent four months in the Aures Mountains of Algeria doing sabbatical research on Berber dialects. Tom indicates that he will be returning to California in September.

Don Sokol is practicing ear, nose, and throat surgery in Pottstown, Pa. He and Linda and their three children, Robyn, 9: Wendy, 7; and Martin, 4 are doing well and Don has taken up flying. He refers to lifelong ambition with regard to flying and specifically mentions an open cockpit biplane of the vintage of the 1940's on which he has recently taken delivery. In addition, Don is a trustee on Pennsylvania's largest institution for the mentally retarded and an assistant professor of Otolaryngology at the Jefferson University Medical School. Another academician in the group is John Kramer, who is currently professor of Sociology and chairman of the department at State University of New York College at Brockport.

Bob Montgomery in Denver was fortunate enough to see the five beautiful Manchester women when Joan and Hugh Manchester were on route to Aspen with their four daughters. Bob reports and he and Tom Gidley are into the same legal work in defending innocent manufacturers, distributors, and retailers from suits by those claiming injury by a consumer product, TomGidley plies his trade in Providence.

Bob Browne is on the faculty at St. Lawrence University where he teaches poetry and courses in Milton and Donne. Bob and Judy, the former Judy Tanzi, and their daughter Allison, 13; and sons Chris and Stephen, 10 and 8 respectively; enjoy cross-country skiing. The Brownes and Alexand Sarah Evarts get together quite often at the Evart's Windsor, Vt., home. Bob comments in passing on a saddened feeling with the burgeoning development of the college on his visits to Hanover and states that while he is not sure about Kemeny, he does not think Nixon is making such a bad President. Bob Tamagni living in Summit, N.J., and a general partner at Lazard Freres and Company.
