Another '65 heir has arrived - Kenneth Thomas Guthridge Brannen, the son of Georgeand Carolyn Brannen, born on March 25. Home is Baltimore where George is in his second year of a urology residency at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. An M.D. from Northwestern (1969) and a residency in surgery at Duke University Hospital have preceded his present assignment.

Bob Shine writes again that he'll be heading to Memphis for a two-year stint with the Navy when he finishes his ob-gyn residency at Indiana University in June. Ultimately he hopes to enter private practice in Great Falls, Mont.

Eric Engstrom is in print again. His fully illustrated catalogue "The Medallic Portraits of Sir Winston Churchill" has been published by Spink & Son Ltd. Eric is an attorney by trade and a numismatist by moonlight, and he's making quite a name for himself nationally through his avocation.

Parker-Hannifan Co. of Cleveland has appointed Rob Hartford materials manager of the firm's Tube Fittings Division.

Rocs Liman writes that he will earn his Ph.D. in English at the University of Colorado, and then will head to Thunder Bay, Ontario, where he will teach American Literature and creative writing at Lakehead University. Rocs, Ann, Benjy (5) and Sarah (2½) are looking forward to getting to their new home and to the access to New England which it will afford. They've been in Colorado since 1969.

Don't forget the 1973 Alumni Fund. SteveWaterhouse has us off to another roaring start, but we have to sustain our effort through June to achieve our record goals. We're looking to be "Super-8" - the best performance ever by a class eight years out of Dartmouth. Have you given yet?

Ted and Nancy Bracken will move to Weston, Mass., next month when Ted begins an administrative sabbatical from his admissions duties at Princeton. He'll spend 1973-74 studying at Harvard's School of Business and School of Education and working part time at Harvard's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Should be an interesting year!

At the Class Officers meetings in Hanover recently Steve Waterhouse was honored with the Mason Award for outstanding achievement by a class agent for '65's performance in last year's Alumni Fund.

So ends another year for the Alumni Mag - the year of 30 for most '65s. Sympathy drinks are in order.

Hope your summer is filled with happy days and peace.
