Paintings from the Dartmouth College Collection will be among those exhibited in the art show, "Two Centuries of Art of Northern New England," to be held at the Cardigan Mountain School, Canaan, N.H., from August 4 through 12.
The show will be for the benefit of the 1793 Meeting House. Donations by those attending will be $1.00 for adults, 50 cents for children. The hours are 10 to 4 weekdays, and 10 to 9 on Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to loans from the College, others will come from the St. Gaudens Memorial, Currier Gallery of Art in Manchester, the New Hampshire Historical Society, and private collections. Paintings by the Wyeths, Paul Sample, and Lawrence Sisson will be included. Some of the works on display will be for sale.
